Any suggestions ?

Why are you installing it via the website?

The zip file already has the jar file included, which implies that you need to tell the program to install it from your device.

Specifically, you move the jar file to your root directory and then follow my above directions.

That's a start

You need to be connected to the internet when you go to install the java app. I got the same error when I was not connected to my data connection. I tried it again having it connect to my data connection and everything worked.

I'm getting an error when extracting the "lib" file.

Error writing to target file!
\Storage Card\lib\jclMidp20\AMS.jad

It's probably a user error

Any help would be great!

Extract to your desktop

Your getting an error on the extraction...

Extract to your desktop then copy the folders onto your SD card and the jad file to /

Then launch and install following the instructions.

Appreciate it, :thumbleft: I'll try that when I get home.

Since this is the definitive java thread, Mal, here's some tips.

1. You do not need the folder named 'source' found in 'lib\jclMidp20\source', save about 700k.

2. You do not need the file 'charconv-src.zip' found in 'lib\charconv-src.zip', save about 800k additional.

GET RID OF THE CONNECTION POP-UP!

Substitute the 'security.policy' file found in 'lib\security.policy' with the version i've modified, attached inside the security.zip file. You should no longer get that pop up for any java program, ever.

That's it! make those modifications to the zip file above and you'll have a lean, mean java distribution.
