noviiremote

I know that it seems that it won't work with the mogul, but a post on their official forum made me curious on your thoughts. here is the post:

I am running WM 6.0 (which is the same operating system as the Mogul) on a PPC 6700 (HTC Apache, which is the predecessor device of the Mogul) since I upgraded the ROM.

I was able to start using the old NoviiRemote (Classic) program flawlwssly. Yea! It even worked for my Dish Network DVR satellite receiver. However, for some reason NoviiRemote Deluxe shows no "patterns" (i.e. no buttons). Everything else apears to work. For instance, I was able to successfully import codebases from NoviiRemote 2.x, get the correct screen orientation, etc. But no buttons appear on the screen no matter what.

It seems to me that the program is just missing the necessary skins or something (there was only 2 or 3 skins to choose from and those appeared to be only the background colors).

The bottom line is that I want to use Deluxe so I can have the proper orientation. Has anyone else been able to get buttons to show using the Deluxe version? Has anyone running WM 5.0 had the same problem with not being able to get buttons to show on the screen?

Have you Mogul users tried the older (classic) version? As I said, it works great on my device running the same operating system (but what I really want is the right orientation for my device that has the IR port on the left side).

anyone have any comments or ideas on if its even slightly possible?

I can only share my experience with this program. I had it installed on my storage card while I was running wm5 aku3.5. Ihave since upgraded to wm6 via helmi's rom. As with alot of programs installed to the storage card after a hard reset/rom change the programs will still run if i just create the shortcut and put it in windows/start menu/programs folder. After I did this all the functionality of my previously programmed remotes works as it did before and all my buttons are there. Maybe if you try creating remotes with all custom buttons it may work for you. Correct me if Im wrong but I thought the mogul dropped the IR port???

the mogul has an ir port but it says it cannot use my ir port. the other man has it working on his 6700 though and im assuming it has the same ir port :-/

I tried to use this on my wm6 6700 but kept getting an error that my ir port was in use by another program... any ideas?

You have to enable "receive all incoming beams." You can turn it on in settings--> beam, or through the Comm Manager.
