Re: New Navigon GPS

I would have bought it by now if their maps weren't so out of date. (Says Q4 2009, but the map data is from well before that.) They have no excuse. NAVTEQ, their map source, has 2011 maps available, and even the old Garmin XT can be updated to use them. Not only does it come with old maps, you can't even PAY to update them after you buy. I've been though several e-mail loops with Navigon about this. The only way I could see using it for a trip to unfamiliar territory, is to have Bing plan the route, and navigate using Navigon where it agrees with Bing (Who also uses NAVTEQ), so you can use your phone while navigating. What a shame to drop the ball like that with such a nice product.
