I wouldn't think it too hard to enable DashWire to automatically check for self-updates, and if it detects one during a sync, pop-up a message on the PPC stating there is an updated/newer version of DashWire released and asking if we want to update/download now? That would be quicker, easier, and allow people to KNOW they are on a current version!!

Missed this earlier, but wanted to circle back to it. In our 2.0 release, we actually did add functionality for the client to detect whether an update is available an notify the user to download it as appropriate. We haven't used this yet and want to run a bunch of testing before we try it, but the functionality is technically there for when we're ready.

Now playing on Pandora: The Roots - Don't Say Nuthin' via FoxyTunes

That's really too bad. Back up functionality would've made Dashwire THE app to have.

I guess I'll be looking elsewhere for my Activesync/Outlook replacement.

As much as the management and social networking features are fun, they are just icing on the cake. Sometimes I get a little sick of eating nothing but icing.

I think that sending the texts from dashwire to the phone would be worthless. It's almost impossible to go through all your texts on the phone anyways...

Viewing my texts on dashwire is much better.

What would be amazing is if we could VIEW our texts through the dashwire client on the phone... then who cares if it's on the phone or not?

That's it exactly. No reason for them to not be able to sync texts, pictures, call logs, etc. You should be able to check/uncheck whatever you want. If people don't want their call logs synced to their new phone after a hard reset or handset swap, they don't have to.

Dashwire cannot/does not delete texts on your phone. The only way it would delete your contact is if YOU MADE A MISTAKE when synchronizing. It ASKS you what you want to do.

Try being a bit more respectful/helpful next time you post.
