Re: Dashwire 2.0 (Updated 6/24/08)

I tried it out for a couple days, but find it very annoying that it keeps poping onto my screen. once they find a way to make it run in the background I'll install it again.

Solution: Run the older client. It does not pop-up, and as long as you don't care about viewing the pictures stored in your online account, it has the same functionality.

I was not too impressed with Dashwire, so after a couple of weeks I stopped using.

I can post it later for you if it isn't posted before I get to my home PC, but another thing you can do is use the current version and change the settings to Manual Updates.

This has been brought up a number of times since we released the newest version of our mobile client. We've been working pretty hard on it and to be honest we're having difficulty trying to figure it out and pin it down.

If you are having this problem, there are a number of ways you can help us solve it. One would be to tell us if there's a pattern to when the pop-up occurs (ie. if its right after something you do on the phone). And two would be to upload your logfiles right after the pop-up occurs (on the mobile client, hit menu > about > upload logfiles). Both would be very appreciated.

We're holding off on a build release that hopefully will address the problem until we're sure we have the issue fixed. Appreciate the patience and apologize for the inconvenience.

Are you using the latest Dashwire Mobile client (http://m.dashwire.com)? Are you running WinMo 6.1 and want to try our latest release (http://m.dashwire.com/beta)?

There is a pattern for me. Any time the Dashwire program updated, it popped up. Any time I made/received a call, sent/received a text, or modified a contact...

Re: Dashwire 2.0 (Updated 6/24/08)

I agree with Scrap on this. anytime Dashwire had to update it would pop up. taking pics, messaging, calls, basically anything that Dashwire monitors. It always pops up to the front so it can update. thats the problem it wont stay 'minimized' in the background and update. Its just an attention *****. lol.

Re: Dashwire 2.0 (Updated 6/24/08)

Agreed, it pops up whenever something you sync happens (call, pic...) but I also notice it pop up whenever data connection is broken and tries to reconnect.

P.S. here is the earlier version of this app if Evader is still interested in it.
