As in you don't want to be recognized when you call with the ransom amount and where to leave the money, or just for more casual stalking?

GaTo 10-21-2007 09:36 PM

almighty 10-21-2007 09:51 PM

"shhhhhhhhh Give me all your money or I will replace your Windows Mobile with a Palm shhhhhhhhhh, This is your last warning "

Ohhh I want a Ben Stein Voice

airibis 10-22-2007 12:24 AM

I am sure this can be done

hell they make little VST synthesizers that work on pocket pc's

O.o i can even use my pocket pc as a midi controller

so hell, this is very possible.

now the question, is it already out there?

^^;; while it would be a fun gauge tool; i can see it becoming used for wrong things.. but still

calling your drunk friend sounding like "god" or zeus (low low voice) just to freak them out... priceless

lawsofpower48 10-23-2007 12:34 AM

I kinda just got this idea because I had optimus prime call me because my frend pulled a prank call on me...lol... its the transformers movie website where u can enter a number and set your frends name and optimus calls you .... so I wanted to see if there was a voice changer so I can get him back....lol.... so bottom line...is there a program out there that can do voice changing?

ean 11-07-2007 04:49 PM

bump! this would be very cool!!

eldersoul 12-06-2007 03:22 PM

canospinach 12-07-2007 07:46 AM

http://www.spoofcard.com/

you can decide your outbound caller ID as well as record and voice change.

lawsofpower48 12-07-2007 09:01 PM

yea, ive seen that one before.... its pretty cool, but its not worth paying for to just play a prank.....

i know the smartphone devices have the voice changers....i dont know why pocket pcs dont...wierd

Re: Voice frequency changer for Windows Mobile devices

Honestly dont know if this would even work. Simply from a system load stand point. When you use one of these that is a seperate peice of hardware its using an analog circuit, on phone it would require an abstraction layer that sits between the mic drivers and the phones transmitter. it would involve a heavy delay and heavy battery drain, think about how long it took to work on an audio file only some 10 years back when the desktop PCs had processors and RAM on par with our phones. May exsist, but probably unreliable at best. I seem to remember a thread about this on XDA and even here in the Apache forums.

I'm not sure but the phones might already have an abstraction layer for voice DSP proccessing for stuffs like background noice cancelation. I might be wrong tho.

The ps3 has a voice changer. Not sure how it works, but it is software not hardware as it will work with any device (BT or USB). Hopefully that will push someone in the right direction. subscribe :)

there is a program called sonic vox for the iphone that can do this. maybe a genius here can make it ppc friendly

popdog54 12-26-2008 02:16 PM

Re: Voice frequency changer for Windows Mobile devices

Sonic Vox doesnt work through the phone while you're on a call. It only manipulates your voice through the phone's speaker/headset:

Totally in on this! any programmers out there wanna take it on?

Re: Voice frequency changer for Windows Mobile devices

I believe this had been discussed many times and the answer has always been something along the lines of "no such program exists for Windows Mobile".

Suggestion (for any developers out there): perhaps read up on some API's for Windows Mobile and see if you can't code a simple voice relayer using C#/VB.NET (Compact Framework) and then go from there.

I found a device/add-on that works.
It's made by a Norelco Corp.
