PhonEX Themes (ALL RESOLUTIONS WELCOME)
 

I have looked all over and I haven't been able to found a forum that was open to PhonEX 2.x themes that was open to all users to share there designs, mostly all are catered to specific phones... I decided that I would open up the doors and start one for everyone...
Installation: Unzip zip and copy .ist file into \program files\iconsoft\phonex\skin\ directory.

IF THEME ISN'T SHOWING IN LIST, PLEASE VERIFY THEME RESOLUTION AND VERSION WITH DEVICE RESOLUTION AND PHONEX VERSION BECAUSE IF THEY ARE DIFFERENT THEY WILL NOT DISPLAY...

moxycalt and I have been working on converting a number on his themes over to WVGA over at his post and I believe this shouldnt be a problem, do to his resolution being WQVGA the images will need rebuilding but I will look into making a WVGA version..

Have you tried it, because it should work on 2.2, for WQVGA though....

I Have but it won't work... I have the pro2 with 2.2. This one when you put it in the skin folder it will not show up in the list. Thanks T M Z

tpro2 is wvga....not wqvga, I think.

Your correct, pro 2 is a WVGA screen,, Im working on images resizing... will try to get it out soon..
Here you go TMZ, this isn't a final but it should work for you...

ADDED A TEST BUILD FOR VGA DEVICES PER REQUEST, THIS BUILD WAS CREATED BLIND DUE TO NO ACCESS TO A VGA DEVICE TO TEST BUT BELIEVE SHOULD WORK, PLEASE UPDATE UPON TRYING...

WVGA user a rebuilt version is posted with cleaner buttons like below.. But still refining images..

So these themes will change the dialer only right? I like the theme on my phone but the dialer is kinda bland...

Yes it only changes dialer and I understand that concept, that is on of the reasons I started using Phonex because the default dialer is so limited on what modifications can be done..

Glad you like them, working on giving selections... Phonex opened up the possibilities... The stock dialers are always so boring..

I realize that this question will probably make me sound like a dumb a$$ noob, but how do you install a file with an extention of .ist (after unzipping). Or are these even available to use on a Touch Pro2?
The dialer has always been one of the few shortcomings of my TP2. What are guys with big fingers and bad eyes supposed to do with those little dial pads?

It appears we need to install this first..
This second link kind of explains how to put the .ist file into the PhonEx folder...

UPDATE: Been playing around with this and is definitely a good alternative to the plain old stock dial pad (and larger buttons!). Using the trial version (haven't purchased it yet). Have other users purchased / registered their's??

That is correct, you just have to extract and copy into the \program files\iconsoft\phonex\skin\ directory and then go into the option menu and select Theme name... See Attachment

As for building cabs, I had to stop building them because I couldnt find a simple set up to pre-configured cab where I dont have to setup registry and location directory and other items to have it install correctly for everyone and I just don't have any free time to cab each theme, time is minimal... Sorry

Just install them to \program files\iconsoft\phonex\skin\ directory or storage card\program files\iconsoft\phonex\skin\ directory if you choose to install PhonEX application on card...

Hate to say it Willy Jay, but it looks like I may be out $25 soon if this stays on my phone much longer. I REALLY like it and it pretty well solves the last major hurdle for me to see the TP2 as a bonafide phone. I've always felt it was mainly a PPC with phone capabilities on the side. This program brings the phone side of it up to par with the computer side of it. It's only been on there for about an hour, and I'm loving the way it looks. Now, I just need to make and receive some calls to see how it performs.

I am unsure which theme you are wanting in WVGA, is this the one? If this is the one you are speaking of, I will have to see what I can do because 3nric0 created this with version 1.4.5 builder and I can not open file to look over original layout but I can give it a try... Let me know if this is the one you want..

Then go to skins and nor all files are showing.....I have some that show and some wont....it is pissing me off....

You have a TP2, are you making sure you only installing WVGA themes, different resolutions do not show because they are not for your unit... PLEASE VERIFY RESOLUTION MATCH DEVICE RESOLUTION BEFORE DOWNLOADING...

I haven't had any issues with doing 3 way call, how are you activation 3 way, are you using the conference button under the in call screen?

UPDATED: I tried to activate a conference call with 2 out going call but I am unsure how to activate it, I can switch back and forth the two calls but I don't seem to know how to access the conference call feature if a second call isn't comes in while on another (But I haven't used the conference feature on two out going call) I will have research this, I think this is a application thing not themes.. But I haven't had any lock ups.

JUST PLACE PHONEX SUPPORT TICKET TO SEE HOW THIS FEATURE WORKS EXACTLY... WILL UPDATE WHEN RECEIVED RESPONSE..
