Lightbulb Would like to write a couple of programs to...(but, need help/direction)

Hey, Everyone,
I am interested in dev'ing a a couple of programs. One to use my WM5/6 device's keyboard (via USB & Bluetooth) in Windows XP & Vista and *nix environs, but also prior to OS boot (to access the BIOS, select boot device and OS, etc.) And, another to use my tele's mic (again, USB & Bluetooth). I'm not the most familiar w/ dev, but 'have the "why", and now 'just need the "how". Any direction would be most appreciated. BTW, I own a Sprint PPC-6700 (HTC Apache) and a Sprint Mogul by HTC (Titan).
Thanks for the s'port.

So...am I to believe that no one has done this, would like to do this, or at the very least finds the possibility to be interesting and useful? Just a push in the right direction, please.

Well, I'm fairly certain you'll never be able to use your phone's keyboard on your PC prior to booting the PC up, since bluetooth won't be active on the PC until drivers are loaded. As far as your second post, I cannot see a use for having my tiny little phone keyboard do data entry into my PC when they've got full size keyboards for $8.00.

Talking Thank you SOo much for the RE:'s...

Thanks, thanks. And, as far as why, 'was just thinkin' my PPC has a keyboard, I wanna use it on the desktop. Not as a replacement, but a just in case, or a let's see if this'll work ('cause, c'mon. Who's really gonna play Crysis DM w/ a PPC keyboard? ...Well, than again I might ). I know how cheap keyboards are, but I'd thought of it more as a pet project, y'know? Oh, and I know as far as bluetooth before OS boot, I use a Microsoft Optical Desktop for Bluetooth, and I can use it to access the BIOS.

If you dev a program, dev one that allows people to hide certain contacts. That is a high request I see.

Why wouldn't ppl just lock their devices? 'Can use four-digit PINs for your ATM/debit cards, but not safe enough for your tele'. And, h3ll, if that's not good enough, go alphanumeric.

::bump::

So, nothing...anyone? It's be so convenient to me, and I'm sure if other ppl had access to a prog like that (at least the keyboard one), 'don't know if they'd use it as often as might (or might not, even), but I'm sure it'd be installed to their device. Perhaps as a "just in case."

Kain,
I for one see no use having my touch keyboard work on my PC other than pcanywhere type app - remoting.
