Mogul as a keyboard???

Ok so I was sitting in my lab class and needed to use to computer and the keyboard didn't work at all. So I was sitting there and had my phone in my hand and thought could I use my Mogul as a wireless keyboard!?!? Since wireless keyboards and mouses use IR signal, is there a program out there? This way I can sit back and type on my computer via my Mogul just like im txting!?!?!? I think it would be pretty sick to hook my laptop upto my 57" flat screen and sit on my couch without having a full keyboard on my lap......

'Seems as though there are others interested. I'd posted this http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=14907, only to get hazed and chastized. Anyway, I'd be interested in a group PPCGeeks effort if you guys are. 'Just need a nudge in the "write" (pun, intended ) direction.

I'd imagine the IR would be fairly touchy for this to work correctly. I do have IR Mouse / Keyboard that are pretty good, but I've never had great success transferring data from one IR to another (Phone to Phone typically).

Still a good idea, what about using bluetooth instead? I think that'd work better assuming you have bluetooth in the computer.

'Don't know if any of you guys are makin' progress (or, still even considering this for that matter), but someone'd mentioned on the post I'd started that you'd have to write drivers for both the device and the desktop OS. Anyone geekier than I t'write some drivers? I can't believe ppl don't think this is a hot idea.

Yea I'm deff still interested in this idea!!! I just have no knowledge in writing drivers.........But that does make sense for needing one for the OS cause when you get a wireless keyboard you gotta upload the software. But is the software universal?? Can you just write the driver for the phone and use anyone for the OS......or can you even obtain a driver for an OS and copy their driver for the keyboard???
