You might want to try SBSH Pocket Breeze. It does a lot, and includes a tab for email.

well, I don't think it does, but I posted a thread about it in their forums trying to find out for sure. this is why I don't think so: "View email accounts inbox folder, SMS and MMS message titles". It actually mentions the inbox folder by name, so we'll see. thx for the idea though.

Use verizon wireless sync. Install pc monitor from their site, and it will push all your outlook stuff to your phone. Calender updates, contacts, and email accts that open in your outlook. www.wirelesssync.vzw.com i believe...good luck

uhh...thanks, but that's not what I'm looking for. I'm getting all my outlook stuff, but the Today screen new message notification doesn't show new messages filtered to sub-folders by outlook rules.

Is the 6800 for Verizon the same as a Sprint HTC PPC 6800? If so then you can go to www.freewarepocketpc.net and get the HTC home plug in. The interface is the same one that the Touch uses. It is clean and very functional when it comes to the easy email access and new email notification. I have it on mine and I really like it. There are other HTC apps there that go with the Home plug in black theme like the HTC task manager and HTC Action and even an HTC Black theme. It makes the whole thing really come together and looks very nice and professional.
Here's a link to how it will look once you install it all. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2021/...c6db2f.jpg?v=0 |

And still not an answer to the ops question. HTC doesn't notify, and won't notify of new email, just list number of new emails, so you have to keep looking at the phone.
sfreeman, I had the same problem and have no solution to it. I don't use rules that move emails anymore, so just move them on the phone. It's not a great solution. If you have a lot of email. I don't, so it works, just minor annoyance. You can get Flexmail - it will notify you of where and which folder - BUT - it is third party, not free. And does not do mapi/activesync. Only pop/imap and has to check on a schedule. I found lots of issues with it, although used for a long while and was pretty good. Haven't used it in several months so they may have upgraded it since then. ok - scratch part of that. Went to webis website and flexmail does support activesync... i'm checking out Flexmail now, and so far as I can tell, it's not showing Home Screen notifications of new mail that's filtered to sub-folders. I'm still looking at the settings, but there seems to be nothing specific to this. Any ideas of what I could be doing wrong?
Edit: Ok, there isn't actually a home screen app yet, so it's useless to me...if if I can get the notices working (which are apparently just the new message notifications that pop up on a new message, then disappears after a few seconds), if I can't look at the home screen and see if there's new messages, I can't use it. Thanks for the info though. Maybe I'll check it out again when they (eventually) release a version with a home screen integration. Last edited by sfreeman; 01-17-2008 at 05:59 PM. |

PhoneAlarm is a program that may be able to help you. It has a today screen plugin and is completely skinnable. The support is top-notch as well and Bruce is constantly fielding inquiries and such from the forums. Check it out at www.pocketmax.net
