Nice UI but miss out couple of nice feature of the old Bing(Live search) such as driving direction follow on map, no contact to driving direction. It is more similar to Google Map now

Re: New bing mobile

FYI - I've install this and the GPS doesn't work for me on VZW TP2 running SSK 3.06 6.5 rom. From what they are saying on WMExperts even if the GPS does work, it doesn't scroll the map for you when using the GPS for driving directions, you have to scroll the map manually.

Can someone post a older bing cab, I won't be using this new one till it's spent a bit more time in the oven.

I'm on the Sprint stock ROM and that was happening to me until I soft reset. Now it finds results with no problem.

Thanks dude. Some sissy girls can't google a screen shot. Glad you posted, because the old Bing didn't auto-update itself. Great find.

Why does the current Bing client not say "Client Update Available"?

nice find ... where exactly did you get this? i can't find this version on the bing website ... i like it so far though ... i actually am starting to prefer bing to google maps bc of the speak feature for when in the car and it seems to be more up-to-date than google maps. i couldn't find a new sprint store on google maps but did find it on bing.

Re: New bing mobile

Let me explain more clearly

1. On the old Bing, you can pick an address on your contact as the End Location but the new bing doesn't allow this, you have to enter the address manually.
2. On the old Bing, when you set [use gps], the dot is moving along with the direction when you drive and when you off the direction path, it prompt for reroute. On this new Bing, it's only show you direction list or map but the gps dot did not follow when you move your car.

Hope this clear out a bit.

Re: New bing mobile

so ... looks like google maps came out with a new version the same day ... 3.3.1 ... which allows look up contact now haha kind of ironic and it follows you in gps as before ... and allows to record star locations from your pc account to the phone now.

I did have issues with the new one when I was flashed with Juicy's and Mighty's. Once I flashed to JD's it worked flawlessly.
