Idea for landscape with Sense 2.5

I have had an idea on how to get landscape with Sense 2.5, however I don't have the knowledge or skills to do such thing right now. My idea would be to port the original landscape for the ORIGINAL TF3D or even better the one for the Verizon Touch Pro that actually had some tabs at the bottom. I am sure that I am not the only one that is running Sense 2.5 on either the HD, TP2, TD2, or any other WVGA device that gets annoyed when the device goes into landscape and all you get is a black screen. I will admit however that that lack of landscape is worht putting up with the have Sense 2.5 as a apposed to either Sense 2.1 or TF3D 2.0.

I have included an Image of what I am talking about.

This seems to be a pretty easy thing to do, which is why I don't think it would work. If this was to work I think we would have landscape already for 2.5

Re: Idea for landscape with Sense 2.5

It is definitely possible for a very skilled Chef to implement Landscape into a Manila 2.5 rom. Here is an example for the Sony Xperia!

Re: Idea for landscape with Sense 2.5

Is that really manila 2.5 with landscape support or is it manila 2.1 with animated weather added? Where are the quick launch icons?

Re: Idea for landscape with Sense 2.5

Yes, it is manila 2.5! Sheesh!

Here is a link to his Landscape Rom on XDA. It is not for our TP2. I repeat, it's not to be used on our TP2.

However, maybe with lots of persuasion, we can get him to work with a CDMA chef and help get us a working landscape rom. Heck, if the experts here don't try something soon, I may give it a shot. However I'd rather a seasoned chef take it on. As they would most likely produce something more stable.

Here is his rom link on HTCpedia as well: http://htcpedia.com/forum/showthread.php?t=631

Re: Idea for landscape with Sense 2.5

I am really hoping as well that he will be willing to hook us up as well. I think that if we can get Sense 2.5 working with Landscape, it might help some of us deal with our current generation Devices alittle longer untill were able to get either the HD2 or what ever is coming down the Pipeline. I know there prolly wont be a HD2 Pro (because there never was a HD Pro) but what will the Touch Pro3 be? Dare I say 4.3" Screen with 1GHZ and full 5 row Tilt keyboard? Hopefully they will bring back the LED Flash as well as bump camera up to at least 5MP if not preferably 8MP. Another thing that would help would be to double both the RAM & ROM to like 512 & 1GB. But regarding this Landscape, mabey if we start some donations it can help hurry up the process.
