Working Leo\Hero Slider - Update 9-29 - All Tabs Done
 

I tried a couple of the leo slider cabs that I found around and anything that didn't have a transparent slider didn't work. The icons within the slider would remain stock. I found the different files used for Verizon and sprint and resized and made new images to get the slider itself to function properly.

Update 9-29-09
-Added all tabs, People, Clock, & Music.
-Updated Sprint Navigation Icon
-New Slider Tab

Known Bugs
- Tab icon for playlist shows the Home icon. I think this is a manila bug, all of the icons look correct but I'm not sure. If anyone has any insight please let me know.

If you only want the main slider. Install the slider cab and then the VZW Stock tab to put the remaining tabs back to black and white.

This is just slider icons. from what I've seen the leo rom uses the same icons as the stock VZW icons inside of the other programs like contacts and music. I have not used a full leo rom yet so I may be wrong but I coulnd't find any other icons in the packages available.

I don't have sprint but the icons are there it should work. Let me know if it doesn't. The navigation had 2 icons that were identicle for the tray icon so I'm not 100% sure I have the right one.

Updated first port with a new Sprint Navigation icon that fits with the Leo icons a little better.

That looks hot...I was working on a new sprint nav icon last night...might just have to abandon it and use yours ;) I think I may even use your Sprint TV icon too.

I am working on something but since there are no actual Leo/Mega icons that I've seen for those I will be making some. However I have come to realize that there are 65 icons that need to be created including all of the various sizes so It may take me a little while. In the meantime I am uploading the stock Black and White Verizon icons in a separate cab to the first post. I will update with the matching icons once they are done.

Hi to all,

pjsockett, I just installed version 2 of the slider (nice work, btw) and the colored sprint nav icon that you made is not on there. It's still gray, while all of the other icons are in color. Let me put it this way, when you slide across it, the tab and the one that shows on the screen is in color. But when you're not on it, the tab is gray, while all others are in color.

Does that make sense? Can't exactly figure out how to explain it. Tab is color, icon on bar is gray.

I don't have sprint so I was unable to test fully. Has anyone else had this issue? Could someone post a screen shot so I can see which one it is. There are 3 icons, the full screen preview, the tray icon, the tab icon. It sound like the preview is ok, is the icon on the tab correct when selected? They are setup the same for both cabs so I would think someone else would have mentioned something.

I think I may have fixed it. I updated the v2 cab. Give it a try and let me know. If that's the only problem I will update the first version also.

I was saying it wrong... I said bar... It's the tray icon that was gray. But I'll test the new cab you just posted and let you know...

EDIT: Okay, I just installed it. YOU FIXED IT!!! Can't wait to see those other icons you've been working on for the TF3D Contacts Tabs, World Clock/Alarm, etc. Keep up the Great Work...

I uninstalled and reverted to Verizon stock and the Home/Playlist bug still exists there so it's not my fault. Not sure if it can be fixed or not. I don't know enough about 3d to edit a layout like that.

Your work is awesome. I was wondering how I could go in and make my own icons. Can I use the files you have in your cab and edit them in order to keep the right dimensions and resolution? Did you use photoshop? or if not, what app?

These look and work great. I don't see the issue with the "home" icon for the playlist. The only thing I saw, was the Home icon and settings icon in the start menu is now a very generic black black and white.

You mean on the home slider tray? or the tab? Could you post a screenshot?

The files in the cab are all manila files. You have to use the cfc gui editor to get the png files. I use CorelDraw to make the files just because that's what I'm used to but once you get the the png file you can use photoshop. Then you have to use the manila editor again to remake the manila files.

I removed both from my start menu so I'm not sure. I didn't edit anything within the start menu and the only black and white image the cab file is an unused comm manager icon. I don't how this could be related but if anyone else has the issue let me know.

I'm not seeing any issues or even a home/playlist bug. The slider is working perfectly for me. Everything seems to look as it should.

Please disregard my previous post. Another tweak cab (Titled - TP2 customizations) I installed made the change I was refering to. On the start menu, showing the program icons, the other cab changed my Home button/icon and settings icon/button. Sorry for my mistake.

Need some help installing cabs on my TP2. I've tried to install several cabs but they are on the phone but missing the set.exe program file. I put them in the windows folder like someone said and re-set the phone, didn't work, I've downloaded .net framework, that was missing the exe file to install it. Am I doing something wrong? Help Plz. The cabs I'm trying to use are leo slider, mc neo task bar.

It should work. There will just be some unused icons.

I'm not sure exactly what your saying. I think you're making this much more complicated than it is. Place the cab file on your device or your storage card. Then all you have to do is select and open the cab with file explorer, that's it.
