[Sprint][TP2]Enable Flip Clock [FINAL]
 

I've been playing around with the stock sprint manila files and noticed that there was flippers built into the loaded manila file. Anyways, attached is a cab that will enable this feature on the stock Sprint ROM. After installing this cab you can install any flip style clock if you do not want to use the default sprint one.

Posted the wrong cab so I had to remove it. I am getting real close to a final version so stay tuned. I plan on making a separate cab to fix the stock clock numbers. If you install the enabler then you can install any flip clock you want.

Darn it...screwed my install up and can't remove some extra files. Need to hard reset and test later tonight.

I can cofirm that if you install this, and then the Background for all pages found (here) your clock will work correctly without the strange white bar in between the hour and minute which was a reported problem before.

The only problem I see is that the little sprint emblem/name is now in the center of the screen directly above the time, instead of being to the top right.

Perhaps it is the order of installation. I installed this clock and then the transparent flip. All worked well. I removed the top curtain, no issues. I then installed the Background for all pages and the white bar between the hour and minute appeared. I had to delete all of them and start from scratch again. Just removing the Background cab returned the stock Sprint clock.

My order was to install the top curtain, then bottom curtain, then installed just this flip clock, then the background for all cab.

Flip clock is working just fine with no white bar in between. However, did not install the transparent flip.

I just install this cab and reset the phone but the clock did not change. Am I missing something?

mine shows up but ones i click on it my 3dtf restarts it wont take me 2 the clock menu

Not sure what everyone's problem is. I just hard reset my phone again and installed it. Works perfectly. I even installed my transparent T-Mobile clock and everything still works perfectly. Something else you are installing must be having problems with the clock.

must your clock be installed in the main memory or can it live on the card? does it matter?

so your saying your cab will automatically put the clock up with no other tweaks? i dont have anything else installed.... YET... :D

It has to be installed on your main memory. It won't affect TF3D at all if you install it to your memory card.

Did you turn off TF3D before the install? If not, did you reset afterwards?

no i did not turn off TF3d... is that needed? yes i soft reset... uninstalled and reinstalled a couple times now and nothing..... i appreciate you trying to help...

Usually if you're going to be replacing files for something you are currently using it is a good idea to turn it off first so the files can be over-written easier. I didn't try it with it on, but when I installed last night I had TF3D off and it worked fine.

The clock installs fine for me. The problem I have like one of the other posters is that when I click the clock it restarts TF#D instead of launching the clock menu.

If you have already soft reset after the install and it didn't work, I'd say turn off TF3D, uninstall, then reinstall, then turn it back on. Hope this works, I'm kinda new to TF3D mods :p I stuck with HTC Home on my TP1 for the most part but now it's too small for this screen.

I think I narrowed down the problem. Are you using the transparent slider?

Clicking the clock worked fine until I installed the transparent slider. Once I installed that, clicking the clock would cause TF3D to relaunch.

I uninstalled the slider and the clock works fine again.

ok i hard reset. now all i need to do is just run the cab and thats it? so :

uncheck TF3d
install the clock
soft reset
recheck TF3d

is this all that needs to be done?

oook. i hard reset.. uncheck tf3d.. install the clock to main memory.. soft reset... reactivated tf3d.. STILL NOTHING.. ok just hard reset and ill build up other things.. ill have to read up more on how these things work... i appreciate all who lent help.. i never had this problem with the mogul or the PRO1...
