Re: New SMS update from HTC Mostly working!!!!
So after a day and a half of trying to use this, I have uninstalled it. it was switching me between EV and 1X and killing the battery and making my phone do all kinds of wacky crap, little dissapointed but had to give it a shot.

Server Address: http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms?X-VZW-MDN=1234567890 (replace with your 10 digit phone #) This is what it actually should be. I went back and edited my previous post with this correct info. |
Re: New SMS update from HTC Mostly working!!!!
For anyone who has anyone who has installed this, and then uninstalled. Have you noticed that the little green icon that tells you haw many new SMS's you have is not there anymore? I know a hard reset will fix this, but just wondering if anyone else had the same thing. I'm talking about the SMS icon on the bar at the bottom of the screen.

Re: New SMS update from HTC Mostly working!!!!
I can't send MMS on Sprint. Acts like it sent successfully, but the message never goes anywhere. This is the exact same behavior I experienced on the earlier builds and on the 1.8 builds. Not sure how the users who can send and receive have it working. I think the clue might be in that the one guy's data wasn't called "Sprint" but rather "Data Network". Wonder what that's about?

What I would really like to see is a few people that are running the stock 6.5 Sprint rom try this and get feedback from them. see if it works. |

EDIT: comparing other threads, I see this as the only difference so far that is prob helping: Server add: "http://mms.sprintpcs.com/servlets/mms?X-SPRINT-MDN=xxxxxxxxxx" EDIT2: this is aside from your cab on new fix you posted from Mr.X which may also play a part. |

My guess is that he thought it was working because it seems to send successfully, but the message never reaches the recipient. |

any1 else got any ideas? im still using it and its still better than the wm client IMO. i lost the capability to send MMS, but now i have a better looking interface (especially skinned) thats better integrated into Sense. |
Re: New SMS update from HTC Mostly working!!!!
So currently I'm still stuck at the same point of being able to send MMS, but not receive properly... I get the message saying "new MMS, please download" but it fails when I try to download it.
@puff601 - I found a site with a ton of CDMA settings, but I didn;t bookmark it... (what was i thinking...?) I'll do some more digging later... |

Re: New SMS update from HTC Mostly working!!!!
Why do you guys even think it would be possible to use HTC Messaging Client to send MMS with Sprint? IMO...if it were possible to do, I'm pretty sure HTC would have included HTC Messaging Client in the Sprint Sense 2.5.2011 ROM (only up to 2016 packages now, so it's not like it's a super old version). No one has found the correct setting for Sprint since HTC Messaging Client was first included in a ROM, which was many months ago. I'd love to be proved wrong though :).

Re: New SMS update from HTC Mostly working!!!!
I installed this and didn't like how the input text box takes up a large part of the screen and when flipping the keyboard out, the input box scrolls out of view...
So I decided to uninstall it.. and now I'm not getting the green circle notification showing I have unread texts. I tried installing a .cab that changes the color of the circle thinking that would bring it back, since it includes the manila file. No luck. Registry issue maybe? The circle shows for new emails but not for texts. Anyone know how to fix it short of a hard reset? |

Re: New SMS update from HTC Mostly working!!!!
also runs slower than HTC messaging1.6
I tried but then took off. It also blocks native sms from ever being able to use. |

yeah, forgot to add that, in addition to the lack of MMS working, it blocks ANY access at all to WM messaging. i dont use MMS very often, but could always switch to WM messaging on the occasions when i needed it. this HTC messaging wouldnt even let me do that...removed. |
