thanks guys. no bg4all installed at all. only HDWalls. but, hdwalls is not selected to be used.

I have the same wallpaper selected for home tab portrait, all tabs, and task bar/soft keys. I also have CHT editor set to HQ wallpaper. I still have the black area with only my wallpaper in the task bar/soft key area showing up. i'll keep messing with it.

oh, i also have uninstalled the HQ wallpaper patch needed in older versions.

What do you mean you have HDwalls installed, but not selected to use?
I honestly think you have corrupted the wallpaper function, from mods you had installed previously.
The HQwallpaper patch was not needed for the last version of CHT either.
I'm almost positive, a hard reset and fresh install would fix your issues you have created. But I know that is not always what everyone wants to do.
I always feel better knowing that my problems were not the cause of something I did, before reporting it as a bug or issue with a certain app or mod though.
So I always hard reset if things are not working as they should and I can't correct them.

thanks. I'm thinking something is corrupted also. i have hdwalls installed on phone, but it is not selected in the CHT editor to use. I have the editor selected to use HQ wallpaper. As I type this I will be removing hdwalls completely.

don't install hdwalls or any bg4all cabs, that's what's messing you up. just install cht and the editor and you should be set.

sure man, are you talking about the glass icons? if so thats Dinik's Anastasia, i posted the cabs below. turn off sense and install the CHT v1.0 cab first, then the other 3.

ive almost got my whole phone skinned with that theme. ive got the CHT, start menu, clock tab, music tab, settings tab, albums tab, contacts, opera 9.7, stock keyboard, WMP, volume bar, and lots lots more. Let me know if you are interested in those cabs as well and i can point you to them.

Dont forget to hit thanks ;)

Thanks for that.
As for the wide wallpaper, it has worked just fine for me on multiple roms throughout testing and I just tested it again now.
No problems with black screens or anything like that.
Are you sure the image you used is 960x800?
If so, try applying it again or use a different picture and see if that corrects the issue.
Make sure you have not installed the HQwallpaper patch for HDwalls or any BG4all mods either, as they will cause conflicts..
What rom are you running currently and is this a fresh CHT install, or did you install over an older version?

Santod, thanks for responding. Iam using MM FF and have been through many versions of CHT. I don't have HDwalls or BG4all installed as well. I went back and tried a wallpaper that I had used in the wide wallpaper setting up until this afternoon when I installed 1.8.5 and it no longer works in wide wallpaper mode. Don't know what could be causing the problem so Im going to use the regular portrait option. Again thanks!!

Sounds like you may have an old file hanging on from the old CHT.
If it did not completely uninstall before installing the new one, this may be why. This new version uses a new .exe, called chtwall.exe.
Made from the ground up. ;)

Anyhow, I am sure on a fresh install of MM FF rom, your issue would be gone.

I was going to say pretty much the same thing.
It would be better to just link to Dinik's threads at XDA, then to repost his cabs. He is not cool with that.
Would be best to respect those wishes I think. :)
