PimBackup:Restore option keeps deleting my existing messages

Hello Fellow Geekers,

I'm simply trying to restore messages and call logs using Pim Backup and that portion works. It appears to be an option to remove the check from the box for:"delete existing messages" by default it has a black dot in the radial circle. I have removed this and put a check in the field and it always deletes my current messages and call logs and then restores the backup. Does anyone know how i can keep what I have and restore from older too?
