Hey Santod, I was wondering if you found out anything about that landscape showing the portrait pic issue from the first page of this thread? I'm having the same issue. Thanks in advance. I have the correct 2011/2012 patch installed, and in HDWalls when I created the cab, I used HTC Sense 2.5 and wm 6.5 all tabs no compression, with only the wm 6.5 taskbar and softkey bar skinning option checked. I unchecked all other options. It did the same thing with all options checked but rotastrain option as well.

Here is my last post and my response regarding that issue.
Should have this info up later today.

There seemed to be some issues with the last patch.
I have had several reports of landscape only showing the portrait wallpaper.

So, I have made a new patch, that seems to be working great in both orientations on the latest 2.5.2012 roms.
HQWallpaperPatch_v.2_ 2.5.2012

Make sure you uninstall the previous patch and soft reset before installing this one.

Please give it a try and report your results. Thanks!

Use the same settings as already suggested in HDwalls configuration.
Do not use the Co0kie Monster patch profile, or any HTC Sense patch settings when making your cab and you should have fully functional HDwalls again. ;-)

Please also know that when making the top and bottom bars transparent, they will only look right in portrait mode. As it uses the top and bottom portion of the portrait wallpaper to skin over them.
This is essentially due to a manila bug, or shortcoming rather.
As it can only apply one image for each bar.
So please do not report that as a bug in the patch.
Thanks again and please do report your results! :thumbleft:

CAB FILE attached to first post in this thread.

Re: 2-28-10{{HDwalls HQ Wallpaper Patch for 2.5.2011 and 2.5.2012}}UPDATED!!

Ok, first off thank you for the newer patch. But... it did not work. I even hard reset after an hour of trying various things. One thing I noticed is upon the hard reset, I installed the new patch first and noticed that even the default background in landscape was still showing the portrait image, and after installing the HDwall background I got the same result. So it doesn't seem to be anything i'm doing wrong with HDwalls. For some reason, it's just not recognizing the landscape manila files. I don't have BG4ALL or any other background mod installed either. I did not see it mentioned, but does SDKcerts need to be installed? And would a 16 links, or clear calendar background be breaking it?

Are the 16 links, my pack that has BG4all built in?
Because that will break it.
SDKcerts is not relevant. So that's not it.
Clear calendar won't effect it either.
Can you try this HDwallpaper cab I made and see what you get?
Because I have both portrait and landscape working just fine with this cab I made. If this one works, I will replicate it one more time myself and trace all my steps. Sorry for the confusion, not sure why it works for me then.

It's possible that I may have used just the HTC Sense patch selection box in settings when I made this one.
I will make a couple more and test again, but damn, it should be working, as it is for me.

It would also be great if anyone else who has downloaded and tried, could report their findings, as one person does not equal a very even test bed, LOL! Report back your findings, Pleeease. :evil4:

No, it is just plain 16 links, no BG4ALL. But, for the sake of trying, I will recook without it, and I will try your cab and report back.

Meaning a cut off on the right side portrait image? Or full screen?

Thanks bud! Appreciate that.
Should however have no effect on this, if it's just the 16 links.
Maybe try this cab first, before going through all that!?
That way we can determine if my cab made the difference, or if it was you removing the links.
Sometimes best to test one variable at a time, to get a true result.
It's up to you of course. :)

I definitely thanked you for your efforts and reporting back.
I realize you have your own interest to gain as well, but it's still much appreciated! :thumbright:
