I think there's an option for taskbar&softbar skinning in HDwall>config>advanced profile editor.

Hey Santod, just wondering if there has been any progress. I've been working on a couple things myself. Close to getting something to work, but have been busy the last couple of days and haven't gotten to much time to play around with it lately.

Been real busy myself.
I still have not gotten around to making landscape any better then it was.
Portrait is great, landscape still showing portrait, non rotated.
Hopefully by the weekend, I can spend a little time on this again.

I figured out why people might be having trouble (with goofy/stretched images)... here's my repost from XDA...


Based on the "green swirl" background that santod posted, i discovered that the main background file (11d4e1ae_manila) MUST have white spaces surrounding the image (check it in cfc_gui). The one I was having trouble with did NOT have any white space. The one that works HAS whitespace. IIRC, I used HDwall to create it, and you want the htc patch enabled (to get the white space in the manila "image").

Now that I figured that part out, by backgrounds are working PERFECTLY (in portriat)on my sprint TP2. Sigh. The end of so much frustration is very nice!

Santod my man, any word on a landscape outcome? With all these new roms running 2012 manila and low quality backgrounds on such a beautiful screen, I cant help but think this is something that will be desired by all in the near future. I know you've been busy with 1.7, max sense, clocks and clear stuff, but my confident side says it's just a matter of getting a few of the greats together like you, Bignadad, Maranell0 and Cookie to get this squashed once and for all. HDwall was one heck of a mod for these phones. Seems a shame that it's dieing. I think about switching back to a 2.1 rom every day just to get it back. I've tried all I was capable of, but I just don't have the skills or the time to get so in depth with manila. Nice days mean I'm out working on my truck. (or lately, pumping water out of someone's basement) The grease under my fingernails seems to inhibit my troubleshooting game.

I have been discussing this with Co0kie and Maranello, and as soon as everyone has the time to put together, you will see a nice outcome.
It is the intention to include HDwalls, BG4all, and a Panoramic background option, in a future release of the Co0kie Home Tab as well. All selectable options.
So let's just say, it shouldn't be too much longer before it gets sorted out. Likely not for 1.7, but probably shortly thereafter.

I have manually made a couple now, that are very close to what we would expect them to come out like.
But some changes will need to be made to the HDwall program itself, before this can be a widespread solution.

Definately excited to hear this! I know it will come eventually and I'm sorry if I came off pushy at all. You all probably have more eventfull lives than I do. I appreciate the update. Not to be a pain in your butt, but is there any chance you might be able to send me the manila files of one of your manually made ones? It's fine if you'd rather keep it under wraps until tested, but I'd love to take a stab at using your template to make my own.

does this cab allow for all tabs to have the homescreen background? And what is the difference between the two cab files.
