Re: Cookie Home Tab Mod (48 links with slidding panels and more)

Santod, CookieMonster and the rest of you freakin' wizards - NICE WORK! Very cool mod to Sense 2.5. I'm still new to modding and windows phones in general but I have managed to install Sense 2.5.2012 on my Imagio and it's running great. I just installed the most recent version of this home tab mod and it loaded up perfectly.

The only issue I see is that the calendar icon is displayed and no appointment info despite having several appointments listed for later today and tomorrow. I've read the first and 4th posts thoroughly and wonder if I'm missing something. Thanks in advance <pulls on flame suit in case this was already covered in the same fashion BG4ALL was) :)

UPDATE: Just found the reg edit for appointments not updating and changed it for 2012 builds. Reloading Sense now.

Are you manually editing the registry settings for this ? Or are you using the CHT Editor in my post, to set the number of appointments to display? Also know that it is already untested on 2.1 with the sense 2.5 cab installed on it.:)

I just did the reg changes with Total Commander. After some patience the appointments started showing up. Love it.

Glad you got it going bud.
Also know that version 1.6 will correct the delay, as the appointments will load along with the home screen loading.

It was originally designed for the HD2, so of course it seems slow on our slower devices.
However, having said that, you will see great improvements in 1.6, regarding speed on all devices.
Especially with 4 different animation options and a weather switch to turn the weather animations on and off.

Anyway, there are great things coming in 1.6 and I feel it has made it much more usable and configurable, on all devices.
I think that many others will agree. :) Estimated to release, within a day or two now.

Great news on 1.6. I tried to follow the regedit instructions in the 4th post to turn off my animated wallpaper and couldn't find the key on my device. Anyone know to shut down the overbearing and system slowing animated weather wallpaper on an Imagio?

One easy way is to select animated wallpaper, but just choose a static image instead.(regular wallpaper). If that doesn't work, there are a couple of other methods that can be used as well.

The way the forum parses the registry entry can be confusing. You are looking for the "Home.WallpaperMode" entry. I confused me too, I thought there was a "home" folder in the string.

Disable Animated/Weather wallpapers: go to registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila\
Home.WallpaperMode
and set it to 2

FWIW

Correct, that was one of the other options I was gonna suggest,
if the first suggestion didn't work for him. Thanks.
