Port xip/sys help noob

I have been reading and reading and can't seem to find a procedure that works. I have been using some kitchens and I cannot seem to use and xip/sys combination I download. After loading, I have a HTCLOG error. Is there a location for TP2 sys/xip dowload? Or does it matter? I have tried xipporterex but it has errors with all the new xips. Any help is appreciated.
