OK, got the pictures. The first is with Livven SimpleGloss Black selected. This gives me the better menu selector. The second is with HTC Black selected in the today, select a theme. The menu are the horrible green, but the top and bottom are a nice solid black.

Well, at this point, I can direct you to a simple regedit!
I'll let you know any other options I come across for stock rom.

Flat black

HKLM > Software > Microsoft > Color > Basehue > 160

Doesn't even need a soft-boot.

Does this regedit change the color of the top and bottom bars, or something else. I'm familiar with doing the edit, just not sure what it changes. Thanks again.

Still grayish, even with the edit. Pretty sure I did it correctly, but the bars didn't change color no matter what number I put in using Total Commander. I guess I'll just keep the HTC Black theme for now and tolerate the green. I really like the black bars, they make the home page for me. Thanks for spending so much time trying to help, if you come up with any brainstorms in the future, let me know.

Thought about it again and remembered you are on stock. If I recall UITWEAKER worked on stock. Might wanna give that a go!

hey santod i just looked at his pix and he has the icons i been looking for,question to you though do you know of any 6.5 like or similar to that by chance??

i have had no luck in searches for transparent looking icons for 6.5 and it's the last transparent mod im looking for lol

They are tricky to do on 6.5, but I started a set that was lookin' pretty sweet, just haven;t gotten around to finishing them. It requires a bit of magic to make it look right on 2.5. But I can. If I see any others I'll let you know, otherwise when I finish the set I started a while ago, I'll shoot you a link.
