I was wondering if there is a curtain over the start menu page. If so is there a way to remove it?

I believe all you need to do, is set the transparency value for the WinMo wallpaper and then it should not appear to have a curtain.

Santod, sorry if I missed it, but have you made an update to your Cookie clear notification bar .cab since the 1.8 version update? The old one isn't working for me. Also, do you have anything in the works to make the home tab event list in Cookie 1.8 transparent, or to remove the translucent bar below the taskbar? I'm looking forward to it!

Check my thread HERE, starting with Post #3 and #4, you should find new transparencies for CHT 1.8.
I have posted a No Top Curtains.cab before, for the bar under the taskbar.
Should be in one of my other threads, or maybe this one.

Hey Santod's I remember I made a request a while back on making the retractable slider icon transparent when its retracted but I wasn't sure of the manila files... Well I found them out, 7f581071_manila and 51ab8b3e_manila... I know you have your hands full but if you ever get around to throwin some transparent magic at those 2 files for me i'd be more than obliged my friend... Thanks...

Santod, quick question, when I restart my phone, without running any apps when I check on the memory usage its around 70%, is that normal? I dont have any apps running, the only thing I can think of is CHT. Is it supposed to memory hog that much when you start the phone? or does all touchpro2 runs with a 70% usage when it starts?

When I click on the built in quicklink for restart sense, I see the wordings Launching sense, but when I restart my system I don't see the words I have to press the start button for the phone to work.

You have 288 MB's of Ram, CHT and all of manila uses about 1.5 MB's.
I would hardly say that CHT has a huge impact on actual Ram usage.
Most roms do seem to run pretty high on the Ram usage, right after a fresh boot.
If you want to do a check for yourself, since it varies on different roms.
Load up your rom, after a fresh flash or hard reset, and check usage prior to installing CHT.
Then install CHT and check it again.
The difference is actually pretty minimal.

As for your restart question, some roms seem more sensitive to loading manila then others.
I have seen some roms take twice as long as others to load just manila, with or without CHT and they definitely vary when running it as well.
Usually when it acts a little sluggish at boot, a tap or two on the screen anywhere, wakes it up and kicks it into gear.
Shouldn't have to hit the START button though in particular.

Hi Santod,

You're doing some great work here. I wonder if you can help with my Sense problem. I have CHT 1.8.5. On the appointments part, a multiday appointment will show up for each and every day day as you can see. On Manila 2.0/2.1, this would appear just once. Do you know of any way to get it to show up just once instead please?

If you press menu on the bottom right>edit home layout>Main Home>Then just press and hold on appointments and cycle through until you get just one or however many you want.

Thanks for your reply jstn, but I want to have 4 appointments on my homescreen. What I want is just one being "Jack" and the other 3 being the next 3 appointments... Appointments with 2 days show up twice, appointments with 3 days show up 3 times etc. They should show up only once!

Have you tried changing the sort order of your tasks.
Maybe sort by start date instead of due date.
Also, what tasks application are you using?
The built in Outlook Tasks app?
And how did we end up in here to discuss this? LOL :)

Right, appointments, not tasks. Sorry bout that.
I assume you tried setting them for "Does Not Repeat", in the appointment setup? Not sure why else it would be that way.
I will check it out with a similar setup myself some today, and get back to you if I come to any productive solutions.
I don't mind you posting here, it's no big deal.
I was just giving you a hard time.
I do have a CHT thread here though, which is linked to the banner in my sig. ;)

Thanks again Santod. I have tried the "Does not repeat", but that doesn't work either.... I have again searched. From the XDA website, Cookie has explained that the appointments are derived from Sense Agenda view. I checked his Lua sources, but cannot find anything which I thought could be the culprit. I am somewhat surprised that more people have not reported this though.
