Re: Dusk Theme By Pegasus *~ Updated~* (12/14/09)

I have a question about the XDA Shutdown app skin.

I have used that app for months & one thing I really like (besides that it's super fast) is that it does not ask "are you sure you want to shutdown??" everytime you hit restart (it just does it instantly)

Now, ever since I installed the Dusk skin it has started asking for confirmation everytime & NOTHING I have tried will get rid of it. I even deleted the app & reinstalled it without the Dusk skin from the original cab & it STILL doesn't work.

I have had to move on to a different shutdown app for now. Does anybody know how to fix this???

I don't use the app. myself, but have you checked to see if it leaves any data behind in the "Application Data" folder? If so, you may wanna try deleting that after an uninstall. If it doesn't leave anything there, then I'm not sure. It's worth checking though.

Have you tried going into the menu for it and under warnings unchecking the one for Shutdown?

So I really like the look of the dialer that comes with the modified dusk theme (not the dialer itself) I would just like to change the talk button to black. then it would be perfect for me.

Also you gave me the blue notification bubbles for my email and text (thanks again) but is there was to change the notifications on the lock screen to use that blue instead of the green as well?

I looked for a thread about the green be gone that santod mentioned, but i didnt see it. If it will do what I am looking for anyone got a link?
Im working on that but havnt made any progress yet, Ill figure it out tho becuae I dont like it either. It'll probably be white when im done tho

Also I am still having some issues with the calendar slider icon, when i slide to it, you can see that there are two icons on top of each other. not a big deal again, just little things.
That is a product of using an invisble slider bar its needed to be able to see the date, Maybe Santod can fix it ill chk with him

I havent had that problem personally but ill chk into it.

the main difference is the way it looks, psshutxp is like 3 icons like windows has, for sleep, restart or shutdown, and there are tonnes of skins, i actually make my own skins for it, shutdown you have 3 buttons under each other with the words on them, and whenever you hit one of them it asks you example "are you sure you want to restart?" or "are you sure you want to shut down?"... im currently on my fone so i dunno if i can post pics but ill try, if you cant see them, ill repost them tonight

One major difference between psShutxp and xdaShutdown is xdaShutdown actually does a shutdown (power off) when choosing that option where psShutxp just puts the screen to sleep. It does not power the device off. Otherwise they are very similar and personal preference on which you prefer.

I'm an idiot, I never even saw that menu.

Unchecking the two warnings fixed the problem......

I really like the XDA app much better than the other options like psshutxp (I have that installed & skinned also)

Both work great, I used px for a long time, but as waits said px doesent shut phone off. And both can be reskined as Spider does. Its a matter of preference.
