i was just thinking for all these new faces we see every now and then and old it may be a bit hard/time taking to try and download all these one by one... maybe me and trisc could just zip/rar all our panos into one archive and date it.:scratch: simply one download. :laughing6:

Im trying to open up the folder in cfc_gui but im not getting any files....can you please tell me what im doing wrong? Thanks a bunch!

effin A dude. so perfect thank you. i just use the ones he builds. ive downloaded a lot of custom roms but thats as far as ive gone i feel too nooby to build customs myself

This is the folder I constantly edit. Just unzip it to your desktop. When you open CFC_GUI, hit F3 or file>select folder and choose this folder. It should show up. If not you might need to show hidden files and folders in your folder options for your computer.

i just started on it a few days ago cause i couldnt find the downloads for the longest time haha turns out theyre on the 2nd post....

Im about to flash to Psyki4 glass manila 2.1 ROM. Do I need to install the Gen Y cab afterwards to install the dallas cowboys pan-back ground afterwards?

Ok....so I have using cfc-gui down but when i go to use the wince cab manager, i put all the files in there and make them a cab file but i fell like im missing something because i put it on my phone and install then do the soft reset and i dont get my background. lol im really trying to learn and i thank all of you that are helping me so once again thanks in advance!!

that'd definatly be way cool but im looking into maybe a actual vzw contract in dec when i cancel mine. going tp2 or imagio :laughing6:

and i use RZ Kitchen i never could get calks to cook a manila rom that didn't show up fully "white" like wasn't uncompressed.[-X

Aight, so I finally made my first pano last night. What kind (size, I guess) of pics do we need to look for in order for them not to look stretched, or is that just not possible unless it's alreadys a pano pic?

Is Verizon's TP2 as sh***y as their TP was. If so, you might consider going with a different carrier.

I don't really know anything about WinCE cab manager, but HDWall has an easy cab creator in it. It's only good for simple add in work. Like manila.

I gave a quick tutorial on how to use HDWall cab maker on post #4 of this thread.

My personal guideline is if the picture is at least 1024 x 768 (average wallpaper) it should look decent when stretched. Anything smaller than that and you start losing quality. It doesn't look like he uses panoramic. So yes, you have to install the GenY Panoramic v2b first before you install the cowboys.

last i read in the TP2 forums the vzw one was better then the sprint one. so im taking its not gimped.

+1... On Sprint and not once had a problem with my TP1, except for the Watermark screen which I lived with...

OK well here it is my first panoramic background its kind of girly lol but i really wanted something with pink, i have it installed on my phone so its tested to work. Thanks to zombiexx and triscuit1983 for the help and tools necessary to do this.

You haven't turned them back into manila yet. That zip file has pngs in it. I switched them over and the cab is 776kb. That's without compressing or padding the manila. It's 627kb with it compressed and padded.

I am running Bonsai ROM and the Panoramic CABS must be different... I uninstall Pano zen and then install any of your Cabs and everything is good until I get to the weather tab and it will freeze every time I wonder if it has something to do with the weather tab using google maps to update your location for weather... here is a link to one of Bonsai's Pano files can you maybe take a look and see what might be different... http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/attachment...5&d=1253901269

I looked at it. The only difference I'm seeing in the manila is it is not padded, only compressed. Also the cab includes stwater_480_640 and 640_480. Which is used to skin the start menu for the ROM.

yeah i am running that geoservice on my weather tab and my panos work fine. but i guess triscuit is on top of it. since my editor don't tell me none of that padded/compressed bullsht :evil4:

I looked at the Raidzero cab, and it too, is only compressed. It also includes the Gen.Y Panoramic v2b manila in it. So if it didn't work for him, I'm not sure what else he needs to do. Maybe uncompressing it, but that shouldn't make a difference if it showed up unitl the weather tab.

To iondokk: I would suggest removing the Bonsai pano entirely, installing the Gen.Y Panoramic v2b, and then the Raidzero cab z0mbie linked to you.
