Re: 2.5 Sense Transparent Mods.

Wil, Thanks for the response. Hopefully, I'm not accumulating a bunch of "loose ends" in the memory of this device that eventually I'll have to clean up. I'll be more careful if I ever need to do a hard reset or reflash again.

One other question. Does anyone know how to completely remove the wallpaper from the home screen? Originally my homescreen was a pure, mirror-like jet black with the weather animations on it. I messed around trying some of the weather wallpapers for the home screen, but now I would like to go back to a "no wallpaper" version -- just a mirror-like jet black screen with all of the weather animations on it.

Thanks in advance for any assistance and support.

This forum is great!

Re: 2.5 Sense Transparent Mods.

You are not creating loose ends with what your changing. It just some files could be getting overlapped. One cab file and another cab file could both have the same manila file. So say you install a clock and it changes the background behind the clock to a transparent one. Then you go and load a transparency cab. They could both have the file for the clock background. Though how they were made transparent might be different. This can be what causes issues. Did the person who made one completely remove all the graphics from the file or did he simple keep the graphic but just made it transparent or did they leave it there and left it just barely visible? They could have also put a glass style to it. This can cause things like shadow lines.

Re: 2.5 Sense Transparent Mods.

Wil,

Thanks again. It looks like my original "success" may have been as much a function of the order in which I loaded things, as it was what things I loaded. If I do it again, I'll pay more attention to the order of things.

Any thoughts on how to completely get rid of the wall paper and get my plain, jet black, mirror-like (on the TP2) home screen back?

Thanks again.

This place is GREAT!

Re: 2.5 Sense Transparent Mods.

Ya sorry can't help you with the Sprint stuff so much let alone a wallpaper from one. It's hit or miss of just googling different search teams till you come up with it. Unless you replaced it with a file of the same name or deleted it, it should still be there some where.
