how to create a working shortcut to folders?

I'm trying to create a shortcut for my "games" and other folders that when you select it from CLauncher or from anywhere else, it opens the folder, however just clicking "create shortcut" gives me an error when I try to open it, so is there something else I'm missing or something else I needs to do?

Rename the attached text file Games.lnk and it'll work.

Here's how I did it.

Drill your way to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs with File Manager.
Tap and hold to the right of the Games folder and choose Copy.
Browse to where you want to save your shortcut, tap and hold, choose Paste Shortcut.

Good luck.

that doesn't work. try clicking on the lnk file in file manager and it gives you an error instead of opening the games folder.

Which didn't work? The instructions or the attached file? The file worked for me before changing the extension to .txt, if it doesn't for you try creating a shortcut yourself following the steps above.

It'll work.

well the whole point is to be able to get CLaucnher or something like that to be able to open the games folder, and this won't do it, you get an error, but just opening it up from file explorer works.

CLauncher has supported both .exe and .lnk files for a couple versions now. Once you create and save the shortcut you can point CLauncher at your .lnk file.

Got a grownup handy?
;)

doesn't work. it gives an error. I tried this like 2 months ago and it didn't work, and it certainly isn't working now...

You are absolutely correct and I owe you an apology. I should have tested before insisting that it'd work. Thank you for your patience, I apologize for my attitude.

Back on topic, my next thought is to launch the file manager with an arguement...

:MSFEXPLORE;\Windows\Start Menu\Games

I cannot test it at this time but will post my results when I am able.

Thanks, again,
