Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
I know we can change the order of the tabs on the default windows today screen, but is it fully customizable yet? I want my text tab to take me to sms chat,my music tab to open s2p, and my favorites tab to open up opera or show my opera favorites not internet explorer cause i dont even use that. Is this possible using the registry??
|
Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
I don't think it's possible with the registry. I think there are some xml files that would have to be edited. I know very little about programming/coding, so I am hoping someone with some knowledge in that area will take interest in CHome modification. Hopefully, it's just a matter of time. There seems to be a lot more interest in the subject over on XDA than here so far.

Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
You'll have to change it in both .cpr's (480x640 is portrait, 640x480 is landscape). What I suggest is opening one of them in notepad, click your mouse so the cursor is at the very top of the document, press ctrl f to open the "find" window, type in cwelcomecenter condensed, and it should take you to the first occurence of that term. You should see what you need to change not too far below that. Do the same thing for the cwelcomecenter expanded and operatorservices expanded sections. Repeat the process in the other document.
Alternatively, you could just download the .cpr files I have in post 1 and copy them into your phones windows directory. The appropriate changes have already been made in them. |
Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
Thanks, i have another problem cant find:HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CHome\CWelcomeCenter all i have everything else
|
Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
Hmmm...when you go into CHome Configurator, is it listed anywhere on there? Also, just curious as to what build of 6.5 you have?
|
Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
Its listed in there but not in the reg. i got NFSFAN 6.5.v6
In the customizer i cant enable or disable CWelcomCenter |
Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
Oh...I just realized you're using a Touch! I have only tested all of this on VGA, and the cpr files I posted are the VGA cpr's. Did you edit your cpr files or copy mine? I'm not sure if the CHome is different on the QVGA ROM's or not. Can anyone else using a Touch verify if you have that registry key?
|
Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
Im going to put yours in my windows folder ill let you kno wat happens
|
Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
I put the cpr files in windows and nothing
|
Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
Like I said before, the cpr files I posted are for VGA resolution devices. They will not work in a Touch, which is QVGA. However, that shouldn't have anything to do with the missing registry entry. I'll try and figure out if that's just something that's different with your ROM, or if it's something else. I'll post back here this evening.

Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
I was just going to show you that, So is there any other way to add more than 1 tab in the today screen?
|
Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
You can use the GUID of the settings panel instead of the welcomecenter one...if you have that one in your registry. The same instructions apply in option 2, but you'll need the edited .cpr files before it will be displayed on the home screen though. I'll be leaving work in about an hour and a half and will work on those this evening after I get home and post them up.

Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications

edit: 200 post. thats a lot for me |
Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
I didn't get around to updating the qvga cpr's last night. I got caught up doing things around the house and ran out of time. I'll work on them today and get them posted. Sorry about that.

Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
Ok, quick question. I installed burts icontact, then decided i didnt want it, so i uninstalled it. Now however, the left soft key for every titanium panel is "contacts" (which may be correct) and when I'm on the clock panel, both the right and left softkey say contacts. Where do I go in the registry to fix this?
|
Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
Unfortunately, that's just how it is by default. I haven't tried to change it with any of the typical soft key remappers or anything yet. I saw this yesterday, but I've really been busy the last week and haven't had much time to work on this stuff in depth.
edit...I just noticed you said right soft key too. That is not normal, and I'll look around for a solution. |
Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
I found where it is. HKLM\Microsoft\Software\CHome\CClock SK2Text and SK2URL. Not sure what to change SK2URL to. I'd like to make IE come up when you click that.
|
Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
Thanks for finding that...I swear I must be blind because I looked in there at least twice. lol
You should be able to just put \windows\internetexplorer.ink for the sk2url and it will launch IE. sk2text is the text that shows for the soft key. |

Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
Having troubles getting the Settings link to appear with the new Mighty/Juicy ROM. I can disable other items. I can create pages in CLinks. I have copied over your .cpr files (replacing the existing), and thus can see the Settings item in the list. So I select show, then exit (saving and rebooting), but when I go back into the CHome Configurator, Settings is disabled again.
Do I still need to do the registry steps? |
Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
Did you copy the GUID in the registry from the existing Settings panel to your newly created one? Also make sure you added your new panel's name to extensibilityxml at HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CHome.

Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
Well, you can try using the default one, but it kept locking my phone up. We can proceed either way.

Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
Hafrust - I followed your tutorial and i was able to add new panels - but i am still having trouble with the icons... here is what i did..
1. modified the clink panel to add more apps to that, by adding new pages and pointing to apps i like - been able to add 5 until now and i love it - its awesome but the icons are not displaying like they should... i guess i need to modify the .cpr files, can you please help me with that - u said to change to "image 1", but is that for all images as in don't i have to reference some location ? 2. been able to create an invisible new panel on top of the launcher panel... i don't mind it being invisible, i placed it on top of everything which i am using as contact dialer panel.. same issue, i can't get the contacts picture to be visible alongside the number, i just see the generic one.. same edits to .cpr i guess ? this is fricking awesome, completely threw away m2d now.. now if only i can figure out how to add more cities to the weather panel, then this is the bomb.... :) |

Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
Only if you use the settings panel that already exists. The pre-existing settings panel was not made for our phones and links to pathways that don't exist. I played with it a little and changed some of the pathways and got it working, but it did cause some freeze ups for whatever reason. I'm not sure if I missed something or what. If you create a new one and add the pages manually, it works perfectly.

Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
First create a new panel. Then you'll need to add new pages for each item you want to be able to access (I have comm manager, task manager, and my battery info). The action url for each page will be the location of the executable file in your phone. For example, here's what I used (my info may be different than yours since I haven't flashed that ROM yet). For comm manager, my action url was \windows\commmanager.exe. For task manager it was \windows\taskmgr.exe. For my battery it was \windows\nuepowercpl.cpl.
|
Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
When you are adding pages, to make it easier, use the templates through the menu to add applications. Since the programs being launched probably won't be on the list in the template, just pick any random program, then once the page is created change the name and action url. That way you don't have to manually input the path to the icons since the template does it for you.

Re: CHome/Titanium Modifications
I can't seem to get any of the cab programs to change my titanium setup, can't add, can't diable, or anything. Hopefully this new ROM im building will help.
