Stuck in TITAN bootloader? Read this!
 

The Titan is different than most other PPCs in many ways, but one is the key to exiting the bootloader. Most devices you connect to it with mtty and run the command "set 14 0" then reset (task 8 works). On the Titan/Mogul/6800 the command is "set 16 0".

Now the good news for those who don't want to go the mtty route. I have modified the uni_exitbootloader program with this change so that it will work on the titan.

Usage:
Connect phone to USB port, disable activesync and run the exe. If you need more info search for the other stuck in bootloader threads. There are already many tutorials out there for this process, but this is the only tool with the special Titan exit code.

Thank you so much for this. I was stuck on bootloader and uni_exitbootloader wasn't working but this worked like a charm.

For those disabling activesync, just end these tasks:
Wcesmgr.exe
Wcescomm.exe
Rapimgr.exe

For those looking for a really easy way to kill active sync, i attached an exe that i found in an old 6600 ROM which will disable activesync so that you can run the exit bootloader app.

OK, i know i'm probably going to get my ass handed to me for being a n00b or whatever, but i downloaded this and ran the bootloader and got stuck. i deactivated activesynk and double clicked the exitbl to find out that it is not a .exe but a rar. what am i supposed to do? i know it's something small and stupid, so please be kind.

Thanks cokeman. I don’t know if I can get winrar free somewhere but I went to download.com and got a free trial for I think 40 days. Opened up the exit bootloader and went to unlock my mogul.

I had about 20 minutes of “oh my god I bricked my phone” terror when I tried to run the exit program. This was until I realized that I have to disconnect activesync by going into it on my laptop and going under file>connection settings. I could have kicked my self. I disconnected and ran the program and it worked like a charm. Thanks again. Now I’m running 1.20 and am ready to try some new roms. That wm5 one looks interesting.

XV6800 Stuck in bootloader
 

Just a FYI to XV6800 owners...
I just flashed my brand new XV6800 with the TitanUnlocker and it got stuck in the bootloader. I ran ImCoKeMaN's titan_exitbl.exe, and it fixed me right up. I can now go into the bootloader (power+camera+reset) without getting stuck.

When I'm stuck in boot "LOOP" I just take out my microSD card and replace once it is booted. I'm still using 2.08 (not 2.09 and won't even touch 2.16/2.17).

Ok, So for some messed up reason, when I power cycle my phone. it has been taken me to the boot loader screen! Now this just started last week, and it has been driving me crazy. I have found a work around for this problem. But i would like it fix so i do not have to do this any more.

When this happens, if you take out the batt, then plug the phone to a charger, wait till you see the red light come up, from there pop your batt back in. Wait for the orange light. Once the orange light is on, turn your phone. It should load the flash now.

But i would like to know how the hell to fix this. i have been thinking about getting rid of the phone and going with the Samsung SCH-I760. whats your take.

But....I'm still stuck
 

When it goest to update it shows the older Version and then the 3.16 version at the bottom that its going to upgrade the ROM to. After I hit update it gives me a ROMUpdate Utility has stopped running error. Any clues?

BTW, the bootloader says:

Tita100 MFG
SPL-2.40 Olipro
CPLD-9.

i think i may have a problem. i was following the instructions from phonenews.com for the gps update. it said about it freezing on the carrier logo (which it did), to re-enter bootloader again and send the radio update. when i entered the bootloader i get this info.

CPLD-9

is that bad, or is there a fix. thanx

Re-flash with the original ROM and try again :)

i tried that. when it gets to the install percentage screen, i get error 202 communication (or connection, i cant remenber. now).

Did you try re-start the pc ?

I've been having a similar problem, but my bootload screen shows SPL-2.40.Olipro instead.

I've tried to go back to the latest supported rom from HTC but get an error code 328 Invalid Command.

I went through the guide to get Ruu to work on Vista, and that allowed the exitbootloader program to work, but it hangs at the HTC screen.

I tried the HTC rom again, and it did the same thing.

I have a similar problem but my screen doesn't go past the telus screen. Please guys help me i don't give a f if you call me a noob. I know its my first post but please help a brotha out.

so this is the story:

I wanted to upgrade so I copyed down my data, then I installed oilpro 2.40, it got stuck on the bootloader screen, i ran the exe and got over it.
followed accordingly to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=362563, which means I flashed dcd 2.1.0. everything went okay didn't get stuck on the bootloader screen, the phone turned on; the red letters on the htc screen reads

PACAAAAM-4070
R 1.32.00
D 3.16

Then it goes on to the telus screen and it gets stuck there.

I have the p4000 for telus.

im having the same problem and I have a sprint mogul and it stuck on htc smart mobility


it wont read the usb cable and har reset doesnt work and gives me read letters

Click the link in your post, read the thread title, then read the first post in that thread paying particular attention to step 4.

This might help kev2184 also, and possibly the others who posted "me too".

edit: I hope those of you who posted 2 weeks ago have not been waiting all this time for an answer.

Hello,

I'm pretty new here so please be gentle lol :headbang:. I have a Qwest Mogul that I am trying to flash.. it said that it completed and the phone rebooted and now it is stuck at the Qwest screen. I tried to use the executable that was provided and it won't read my phone.. saying that its not connected. I also tried the Titan Relocker and to no avail. Please assist. I am stuck on the tri color screen it reads tita100 MFG SPL- 2.03.1000 CPLD-9 with RUUNBH in the top right corner I have have done everything in my power I have read every solution to this probelm from running the VistaRUU etc. I have tried to run roms to get rid it no luck. My computer is vista OS and my phone is the mogul/titan thanks in advance....

I am also stuck in Bootloader (tri color screen) running vista x64 and also tried to exitbl.exe on my vista x86. I disabled USB connections in mobile device center 6.1. Still no luck. I upgraded to SPL 2.4 olipro and cant get out of bootloader so any help would be apriciated.

I too am stuck in bootloader ... 1.06.0000 CPLD-9 ... when I try to download this file I get asked for a username and password ... tried mine to no avail ... what am I doing wrong????

Although I wasn't stressing (I have two xv6800's ... the one stuck was my backup ... I always "Try" new stuff there first) ... I too got myself out of it ... I managed to find an old cd backup of my hard drive and it had the file that gets you out ... sooooooo ... I'm back to trying to get the 3.35 radio and associated rom to work on my vzw phone ... so far ... nada .. must be holding my mouth wrong

Does anybody have a site with that titan_exitbl file? I cannot download it from this site, site says "530 - Login incorrect" Thanks.


EDIT: OK, I was trying to grab the file with Firefox. That seems to be the problem. I changed to an FTP client and was able to navigate to the ftp server.

hey imcokeman what user name and password do you need to use so you can log to that website so you can download the program
