Okay. I am a newbie and am having a little difficulty. According to the prompt, I should still have access to my contacts by running Outlook, then syncing. However, I am not able to do so. Can someone please steer me in the right direction ASAP? Thanks a million!

Please help me with this issue.
Im having two devices of HTC 6800 sprint. One i bought it last year and the rom version 2.09.651.3 and radio version 1.47.01 PRI version 1.24.003 .
and now i have recieved one last week with newer version of 3.35.651.2 radio version is 3.35.04 pri version 2.00.003 // the question which i need help on it, Is i couldnt downgrade the second one newer one to the old version as my old device is working great. i need this new one same as the older. couldnt do this Please help me with steps i do to get it work normaly please ,,

First i'd like to take moment to warn you that if your mogul has 3.35+ radio (GPS capable) that it is not recommended to downgrade to a NON-GPS radio. There's several posts including those by ImCoKeMaN that warn of the dangers of doing this.

This could BRICK YOUR DEVICE

That being said, at least on the surface level, it is possible to downgrade successfully but its not gonna be an easy task. Should you choose to accept the possibility of bricking your device, you can search and find steps taken by others to accomplish this task. Due to the high level of risk involved though i have no provided any "links" to assist with your search. I feel that if you want this badly enough, you will find the answer.

One last thing, why would you NOT want 3.35+ Radio?

with the old rom i was able to send and recieve arabic sms msgs through and recieve them , when and on this 3.35 new version i couldnt send SMS In OTHER language like mine. Arabic, I made research found the different between both vrsion that the older one is having 16Mb or more for SMS files. But the newer one not having this. if you can get me or help me to even relock it and download any Offically roms or kitchen roms. and it will solve it i will be glade on your help :)

WoW :shock: that's a very interesting reason !!!
Perhaps someone else can offer an alternative fix that doesnt involve downgrading...

I am confunsed, I have a phone with the newer 3.35 radio on it. I dont want to downgrade it though. I just want to relock it, the phone itself is broken and I want to return it (well for that matter I already got it exchanced and I have to send my old phone back in the next couple of days). So anyways I flashed it back to a stock rom and I just want to relock it back to the 3.35 original bootloader. I just want to make sure i am not going to brick my phone if I relock it.

Even though it still says olipro 2.40 on the boot loader? Will that not cause issues when they look at it at the return center?

OK i know this has probally been asked tons of time. But what size SD Cards let you flash roms? I have a 2gb NON-HC Micro SD Card and it doesnt do anything when i boot into the bootloader and have the card in with the .nbh file on it.

2GB should work, it has to be formatted FAT32.

I need help on relocking too, please! No matter what rom I have on my phone, If I soft reset it I get stuck in 2.40 Olipro bootloader and it is HELL to try to get it out. After trying exit bootloader and mtty over and over at some point it does finally kick me out of bootloader.


And by not working, I mean I connect to the 6800 and I am able to run the Exit bootloader or even connect thru USB to mtty and send the set 0 16 and task 8, the phone gets the command and then looks to reset, but then just pops back into bootloader.

I have also tried to put TITAIMG.nbh on a 512 meg storage card formatted properly from dos and power-cam reset to try to make it load a new rom to kick it out of bootloader, but it always says "No Image Found".


So I am sure when I send it in, they will see the 2.40 Olipro bootloader screen.

Can anyone tell me a safe way, if there is, to change to a newer htc bootloader or sprint bootloader so that I can return?

Well, I just tried to reflash the Hard-SPL to 2.40 Olipro again, just to try to see if a fresh install would help it. I connected and ran the Hard-SPL-MFG, followed the steps and it took me to the bootloader. I unplugged and plugged back in, and it went on to the RUU. When I click ok and next for the RUU to go, I get Blue Screen of Death on computer for Multiple IRQ or something to that effect... so once again, I am back... stuck in bootloader.. oh the pain...

Someone please help!!!! lol.. dying over here...

Another update... I was some how magically able to RUU_TITAN_SPRINT_WWE_3.35.651.2_RS_TITAN_3.35.04_4 350H_SPCS_AM_Ship to initiate the phone to flashing the rom from boot loader...

So it went thru and flashed the rom... then it reset and went BACK TO BOOTLOADER!!! arrgg... i think i'm going to go insane here...

Update!!!!

Ok, did some reading on the MTTY commands. I know everyone told me to do the "set 16 0", but I also saw that the "set 14 0" will set it to start in OS mode. So I did "set 14 0" and it returned some HTC*#(&$( garbage.. then I did "set 16 0" and it didn't return anything (normal) so then I did "task 8" and it reset the phone.

But that came back immediatly into bootloader. So I took out the battery, left it out for 1 min, put it back in, and plugged it back into the USB. This time the bootloader screen did not come right back up (GOOD!!!), after about 20 secs, the power light turned yellow.. then to green.. it is waiting for me to hit power button to turn on right now... WHEW!!!!!

I still need to solve this problem with 2.40 Olipro though... I can't keep fighting this every time I need to soft-reset the device... :(

So if anyone has any more help or suggestions on the best way to change to an offical bootloader, let me know! Thanks

Tested it just again to make sure that worked, and it does! Everytime I hit reset, I get shot to bootloader..

To get out of Bootloader I do the following:
set 14 0
set 16 0
task 8

unplug phone, remove battery, replace after 30 sec, plug in usb cable and wait for yellow light. Press and hold power for 1 sec or so till it boots.

Atleast I have an escape method now

After using Oilpro to unlock my Sprint Mogul I was able to successfully use BuildOS to upload the No2Chem ROM to my device. Everything seemed to work properly the phone did its normal boot and start-up after an update and the bootloader screen is gone.

Problem is once I unplug the phone from USB the device will run fine for about 30 to 45 seconds then reboot. It boot back into normal mode but 45 seconds later it will reboot again. Plugging it back into the USB stops the re-booting.

What do I need to do to fix this problem?

^ Is that the problem where you need to remove the battery for a little while and then replace it? Give it a shot....

you may not have the correct radio for the bootloader and rom you are running. when it's booting, there will be an r and next to it should read 3.35 or higher

PPC Noob, Yes, bootloader is 2.40-Olipro .
I still need to find a way to get this phone back to stock and flash with the Official roms... but everyone is scaring me... I don't want to brick this thing for good.

But I can't soft reset with out getting kicked to bootloader, and that will be a real pain if I am some where without my laptop...

I may just go for it..... still debating...

You can revert to stock bootloader with no2chem's relocker...

Thanks for all the hard work guys, i tried the unlocker, got stuck at the RGB screen same as everyone else, didn't read enough to figure out how to disable activesync to run the exe in "stuck at bootloader screen, so i ended up just re-running the wm6.1 RUUand of course since im a noob i didn't know how to check to see if the unlocker fully worked so i ran the wm6.1 ruu one more time and bootloader screen still says olipro2.4 so it sounds like it worked :) thanks guys i cant wait to try some of these custom roms

Sorry if this is a re post, but xp is too small a word to come up in search. I have xp 64. when I tried to use olipro 2.40, it said not compatible with xp 64 and to request a 64 bit addition of the software. Am I s.o.l.? Thanks

hi team. htc titan, carrier is telecom nz running stock wm5, ive used the olipro 2.4 unlocker, which worked fine.

noticed though that when my phone goes to sleep, the power button doesnt actually work now. i have to soft reset to wake it up. it'll turn the phone off but wont turn it back on..

any ideas? hard reset didnt fix it. still on non 3.xx radio and stock wm5

If you are running stock WM5 and pre-GPS radio, why would you install the 2.40 unlocked bootloader? Let me quote Post #1 from this thread:The purpose of the unlocked bootloaders is to permit the flashing of non-OEM ROMs (or OEM ROMs through the SD method)...if you are not flashing a ROM imminently, then installing an unlocked bootloader imparts no benefit, and may, if mismatched as in your case, cause performance problems.

I had the exact same issue and you can read about it here. Eveidently you need to upgrade the ROM to match the radio version or you get that issue.

The SPL used to unlock the phone is supposed to be ran from the desktop not the device. (appears you ran it from the device, correct me if I am wrong). Check out my tutorial. The link is in my signature. It wil walk you through unlocking your device.

I am new at this and I want to upgrade to get my GPS going.

If I currently have:

Telus Stock ROM: 2.13.661.2 (07/04/07)
Radio: 1.32.00
Hardware Version: 0003
Bootloader: Olipro SPL-1.20

I would like to upgrade to Radio 3.42.40 with ROM DCD 3.26.

My question is: The warning that is above, does it warn you that you can not use it if your CURRENT radio is not GPS enabled or you can not use it if the update you are going to do is not a GPS enabled ROM or radio.

As well, do I have to change the bootloader or is the one I have fine?

Please advise!

That warning, about the 2.40 bootloader, tells you after you've upgraded your bootloader that you might not be able to boot the device (ie you may get stuck in bootloader, or it may just go the the splash screen but still allow u into bootloader mode) until you've upgraded the Radio and Rom to also be GPS compatible. (yeah u gotta change the bootloader if you wanna go GPS - either NueSPL 2.47 or Olipro 2.40 )

*edit* not sure if Telus has a stock GPS ship ROM avail... if not you may not be able to revert back to OEM !!!
