Just wondering.... I unlocked my Mogul, and have been playing around with the different ROM's. I decided to try the new Sprint ROM and noticed even after updating to it that my Mogul is still unlocked. I guess I missed it if this was covered but I thought once you went back to a Sprint/HTC ROM you had to unlock it again. Is that not the case?

awesome work guys!!! super clear instructions, all the tools needed, links and instructions. I was a little hesitant to try this, but it worked flawlessly, and now I'm unlocked!

I've read everything here, i think, and have one question.

When running the unlock process, does a new ROM need to be flashed immediately, or can you unlock things in preparation for a custom to be flashed later?

Why would you unlock the phone's bootloader if you're not going to load a custom ROM? Just unlock it right before you flash a custom ROM. I don't see any point in patching it if you're not going to flash a custom ROM on your phone at the time.

In case the OS randomly dies one day... or an official update inexplicably shits itself
