Re: Windows 6.5 21812,21815,21820,23001.

Hi

I'm testing your Mattsm_23001bare_Sprint ROM and it's working fine but I just have a problem...

I can install CommManager-V0.32.cab after the MortScript-4.2-PPC but when I try to install the ATContacts v0.98.cab is unsuccessful.

I could install both cab with Titan_21815_BBS_RUU

Can you help me?

Thanks & "Think Different",

I am very busy at the business today cause I ran one of the employees off.
But the first thing I would try is to not install that mort. cause I have ver.4.3b2 already in rom. I have no problems installing the ATContacts.
You might want to try that first. Hard reset then try installing the cabs without that mort. I will check back, but it will be later.
If you are still having problems then post the cabs here and I will try them and see what is going on.

Thanks

Re: Windows 6.5 21812,21815,21820,23001.

I didn't read through the whole forum and have been out of the ppc world for bit...Is the 23001 the same thing as the 21501 except with different apps cooked in, or have there been updates to the actual windows 6.5 OS? Thanks.

21501 was an earlier release of Windows Mobile 6.5. Don't forget that this is a program that is still developing and progressing. Nobody has documented the changes between each build, but there are a few under the hood. You may or may not notice a difference, but this build is about 6 weeks newer. The apps that get cooked in are secific to the chef; here, you have mattsm and he has chosen the specific apps that he thinks you'll enjoy!

Not here. This specific build is for a phone by HTC called the Titan (or 6800). Your best bet is to find a forum that specializes in your phone and see if anyone has done it.

21501 is the official build number from Microsoft.

The other builds, such as 21301, are HTC builds, that use the 21501 6.5 OS base.

So the base OS is the same, but the features from HTC are improving/changing. And, HTC is changing the base OS in some ways. So, I lie. :-)

Re: Windows 6.5 21812,21815,21820,23001.

So I am been using updater to get the 21501 build and cook stuff into that build. The 23001 isn't available from the updater, how can I cook my own apps into that build? Meaning where do I have to put the 23001 build to cook it? Thanks for the help, I am relatively new to this...

Because of the speed with which new builds have been coming (and the only incremental updates in each new build), the PPCKitchen team has not been releasing much via Updater. If you want to manually add the necessary files to create a build, they are all available in the Developer thread on this forum. It's a complicated process your first go-around. Shoot me a PM and I can walk you through some of the steps, or point you in the direction for more advanced help.

Or you can download JDume's kitchen in this section of the forum. I have not used it, but it seems pretty interesting. Be prepared for it to function differently than PPC Kitchen, though.

Dude I can't keep up. I am running 21820b and it is fast and works great and you are on 23001. I guess I will download that one tonight. You :headbang::headbang: I had to drop out for a couple of days because my Titan kept rebooting - long story short they replaced it with another Titan which I quickly flashed 21820b. Great work on carrying the torch.
