Re: WM6.5 for Sprint Mogul Build 23053 *UPDATE*

even though it is not in the comm manager, my wifi is also working fine. i just flip the hardware switch, give it a couple of seconds, and then it prompts me to connect to a network in range.

Re: WM6.5 for Sprint Mogul Build 23053 *UPDATE*

I've tried your last few ROM's (incl 23053b) and they are great. However, I have the same issue on all of your ROMs. It's relatively minor, but I use Mega Manila2D cabs and the audiomanager does not work on your ROMs. It gives me the message that there is a missing component or the program is unsigned.

I'm currently using the Mattsm 23053 rom and audiomanager.exe works fine. On each rom I load the same set of cabs using Sashimi, so I am assuming that there is something different about the way you cook your roms.

Anyway, not a big issue but I thought you might like to know.

Re: WM6.5 for Sprint Mogul Build 23053 *UPDATE*

jmartin72,

I have been reading about a 23420 build that is out now. What are the chances of you cooking one of your ROM's (my favorites BTW) with that build? I am a huge fan of your ROM's because they always seem to work better that the others I've tried and I personally don't like all the bulk that some folks cook into their ROM's. (That last sentence was just brown nosing.) If you have the time and the interest, would you mind?

The 234xx builds in the past have not been as fast and stable as 230xx builds. I will cook one maybe tomorrow and see what I think maybe they have gotten better. In the mean time 23060 is up on the first post.

Why carrier specific?

Is there any possible way to remove that f'in bar on the bottom of the screen? One of the delightful things it does do is NOT allow me to send an EMAIL.

The main reason that I am interested in the 23420 build is that, if I understand correctly, it has the old WM interface. The new interface stuff works fine, but I have several programs that I use a lot that either have display issues with the bottom bar type menu or don't correctly map menus to buttons. Normally, the buttons show up, but either without a menu or with the wrong menu. For example, one package I use has a new entry menu and a tools type menu. The new entry menu has a button labeled "New" and the other menu is simply labeled "Menu." With the current build that I am using 23053, the "New" menu is correct, but the "Menu" menu also displays the new menu. Thus far, this hasn't been an issue, because I normally just make new entries, but it will eventually be a problem.

Be assured, I didn't post this to coerce you to do a 23420 build, but just to tell you what I'm running into. I have tried several other people's ROM's while messing with the 6.5 thing and have found yours very lean and have had no problems with your ROMs. With every other ROM that I have tried, my work style and their ROM have caused issues. In other words, I have come to trust your builds to do what I need. I guess you and I work similarly with our 6800s. GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE.

Anyway, this is very much just the ramblings of someone bored at work. I truly do thank you for all your work. I've cooked a few 501 based ROMs and have found that the kitchen isn't the place for me to be. So hats off to you and all the rest who produce these great ROMs to keep the geeks busy.

I guessing that your problem is that when you start a new mail message the button that should be the send button shows up as the reply all button, basically putting you into a loop replying to your own e-mails. If this is the case, there is a fix posted in this thread a few pages back that takes care of this. I tried to paste the link below, but am not sure I did it right.

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/attachment...3&d=1253550072

Can anyone tell me now to paste a link to a specific post? I would have tried to do that, if I could have figured out how. Read this quickly to limit exposure because stupidity is contagious.

Anything new in the 23060 vs the 23053?
Worth the upgrade?
