i leave you with mattsm roms here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=72489
Thanks bbsandkm! I just got here, but will still miss you. So all a Verizon user needs to do after flashing mattsm's Sprint roms is to install a Verizon carrier cab?

Hey bbsandkm,

The only problem I have been having with your ROMs lately is the Oxios app. It seems to take an extremely long time to finish clearing RAM, almost looking like it's hanging at times. Any idea how I can fix this?

Thanks!

Re: Windows 6.5 XV6800/Titan 28002

Ok, can someone tell me if I'm on the right path here... starting with a verizon xv6800 that came with WM6.1 build 19212 and radio 3.37.78 and I haven't yet activated the phone with verizon.

I unlocked and loaded some of the latest roms in this thread, but I never touched the radio part. Do I need to?

Anything I should do before activating the phone with verizon?

Many thanks to everyone in this awesome community, I must have read 100's of posts before upgrading with confidence but it took me all of 10 minutes once I was ready.

yes, i've noticed this from build to build, i guess you have to wait for the next build that allows oxios to respond faster or install cleanram

Re: Windows 6.5 XV6800/Titan 28002

I haven't figured out why, but I'm having issues with connecting to the internet over wifi with this build. Even though connection manager shows a connection, and my other wifi devices are connecting fine I can't get any web pages to load on my xv6800.

I'll try reloading 23075 because things seemed to work ok with that one. I'm only on my 2nd Rom...

Re: Windows 6.5 XV6800/Titan 28002

got a simple question here. I couldnt find the answer, so please dont bite my head off.....
I am running the stock ROM from verizon on my xv6800, and it is really slow. I want to ugrade to 23506, bc everyone seems to like it and is said to be better (and faster). Just two quick questions:
1) I have SPB Backup on my phone now, and I plan to do a backup before I flash the ROM. Will this make sure all my settings (ringers, speed-dials, wifi passwords, etc) stay in my phone? How would I put it on after I flash?
2)how do I use the RUU? I am pretty sure I have unlocked my phone, bc I remember doing a flash before, but i seem to have forgotten.

Thanks for your help,
Andy

I'd like to hear how the backup utility works for you, I'm getting tired of reconfiguring everything after updating roms.

For 2), download the generic RUU folder on post #1. Then copy the rom of your choice (unzipped .nbh file) into that folder and run the update utility.

the wonderful people of ppcgeeks are working on a kitchen for you guys to decide what you want in YOUR VERY OWN builds (how cool is that) so put your listening ears and be ready to become chefs.
