Atrggh ! Too much info

I've got a 6800 From Bell, and all i want is to have the gps enabled and keep it stock, from all of what i read it's all talking about custom rom with added thingies, is there a simple rom that will add the gps, I also own a touch, and getting gps to work on it was a piece of cake...

Please Help (hold my hand) me

What radio and bootloader do you have? I don't think you can have a pre-2.40 bootloader and a 3.xx radio and expect GPS to magically work without crashing your phone.

right now rom is 2.13.666
and radio is 1.37.00

I have read people with the same roms and radio version successfully upgrading with the touch radio, but there's too much information contradicting itself, do this, don't do this. do it this way...lol

go to HTC and get the updated Rom. if you only want GPS then you can get it from there. but if you want to do more like other ROMS or cook your own rom then you will need to do the step by step process found here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=33857

I don't see an HTC firmware for BELL that has GPS...

Yeah.... As i stated, HTC does NOT have a firmware with GPS enabled

I just flashed it, no GPS

Someone shoudl really do a step by step for each vendor, and lock teh discussion so no on asks questions, I just spent the last two hours reading, and again found nothing about using a stock bell firmware with the radio 3.42

I would think you need to get on to one of these GPS radios: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=392133

no matter what. Even with the VZW gps hack for stock roms, you still have to be on a GPS radio. If bell doesn't have one, you would need to cook to at least get that much..

I know i need the updated radio, That's why i am looking for an update Bell firmware that has a radio v3.xx and up

All i found was a sprint one that i added the dcd from bell, but it's branded sprint everythwere

Thus the reason why i am looking for something that has the stock bell look

I have Bell. Bell has nothing to give you GPS. If you want GPS, you'll need to go custom. Message me if you need a hand.
