Re: nueROM3-206 w\ PPCKitchen BuildOS (Updated 1/23/08)

Mr. Obvious, seems to work fine now. Only two things bother me:
  • For some reason, my EV icon on the top bar (I'm on Verizon) seems to keep flashing from EV to an antenna icon and back to EV. It didn't do that before.
  • I had over 30MB free RAM once I booted the first time. After I installed a lot of my apps I am down to only 26MB free after booting. Weird, cause I didn't install any memory resident stuff (I don't think) but I can't figure where that extra 4MB went.
Other than that seems to work OK. I'll put it thru the paces tomorrow, and repost then.

Hmm. I think it could be a memory leak in your selections or your today screen is fubared. As far as the EV it's probably the wi-fi needing to be turned off.

That's what I thought too (about the wireless)... but from what I can see it is not on! I have the hardware switch off, and I believe it is off from the CPL. Is there anywhere else I need to check? I use Verizon internet rather than the wifi stuff.

I just cooked this ROM using this method/flashed it to my phone, and it seems to be running great so far. No errors during build or anything either.

For some reason it has stopped doing this. Seems to be working fine now. I fiddled around with the hardware switch setting (it was already off for WiFi so I turned it on and then back on a few times) and now works fine.

Wierd... Anyway things working OK here, and memory usage is great! (~25Mb free even with WAD2 running!)

Which selections are you using? My selections are not guaranteed because I lost my original when I made my ROM when I had to reinstall Vista. (Regcleaner mistake!) And AFAIK MMS should work with Alltel. You may have to reinstall Arcsoft from the cab but other then that it works.

Good. Yeah just make sure you play with those settings if you read this.

Just cooked it up last night after collecting all the other OEM's i wanted to include in it and this is by far the best build I have ever seen. >20MB free memory with m2d and google maps running. Amazing.

Should I put the entire nuerom 206 folder in my Kitchens folder, or just scrap the rest of the folders and drop Titan_Core in?
