Re: GPS Detected but doesn't work - DCD 3.3.4
No the first RUU is the new "old" bootloader if i am not mistaken. You lock the phone and load the old boatloader, then the old ROM.

Re: GPS Detected but doesn't work - DCD 3.3.4
Okay, I have successfully re-locked my phone and restored to an old Verizon stock rom.
Radio 1.30.60 ROM 2.09.605.8 PRI 1.35_002 I don't have to do ANYTHING regarding the GPS before unlocking and flashing to DCD ROM & a new radio (and a newer radio)? I'd like to try all I can before getting into all these registry hacks for these aGPS hack. Also, is aGPS only for people with a data plan? (I have NO data plan). Thanks again! |

Check the above link for registry and QPST settings for standalone GPS. I posted my near the bottom. Do not do any AGPS fixes you don't want AGPS without a data plan. |
Re: GPS Detected but doesn't work - DCD 3.3.4
Thanks to drewcam, I've finally got this GPS working, with both Google Maps (when I can get a wi-fi connection), and TomTom Navigator.
I had to use the QPST software, under the gpsOne tab....

Re: GPS Detected but doesn't work - DCD 3.3.4
Does flashing a different rom overwrite the GPS setting changes I made in QPST, or is this done on a hardware level? (Do I have to make the changes each time I flash a different rom?)

Re: GPS Detected but doesn't work - DCD 3.3.4
It's not hardware level but it's more powerful than a hard reset or ROM flash provided you don't do stock ROMs. Every kitchen I cook in BuildOS automatically sticks the registry entries and my phone hasn't lost the QPST programming for AGPS.
