how to get to bootloader mode?

The camera button is the only thing on my 6800 that does not work. Is there any other way to get to bootloader mode so I can flash a custom rom?

Re: how to get to bootloader mode?

You shouldn't have to. Flashing in normal mode will be just fine.

Have you up graded your bootloader to either Olipro 2.40 or NueSPL 2.47? You can find them here, http://dcd1182.n715dp.com/index.php?dir=titan/spl/ The phone will just keep re-booting after a flash if you don't update this.

Which Radio are you running? Latest radio is 3.42.50 which you can get here, http://dcd1182.n715dp.com/index.php?dir=titan/radios/ You'll also need atleast 3.35 to run DCD's roms. 3.42.50 is recommended. I flash via my SD card so I don't loose my A-key with verizon.

You can get DCD's roms here, http://dcd1182.n715dp.com/index.php?dir=titan/roms/ I'm using 3.3.4 but 3.2.6 is also a great rom. After flashing a DCD rom you'll need your carrier cab, which can be found here, http://dcd1182.n715dp.com/index.php?dir=carriers/

Now, when I flash a new DCD rom I connect through active sync, and the phone automatically goes into BL when I run the RUU.

Re: how to get to bootloader mode?

Im running the 3.42.50 radio already and havent used neuspl or olipro since the directions for those programs involved me putting my phone in bootloader mode by pressing power camera and reset?

So by using neuspl am I just upgrading my bootloader or something? can i skip these programs all together?

No, Olipro 2.40 is required NueSPL 2.47 is recommended. There may be a way to get into bootloader an the right person hasn't chimed in yet. Have you tried searching XDA?

What happened to your camera button?

Re: how to get to bootloader mode?

I was refueling my boat at the gas station and it has a small overflow vent near the swim deck on the back of the boat. I had my phone out of the way of the vent but had a friend jump up in the boat and check the gauge to see how full it was(since I was pissed we were nearing 250 bucks and still pumping on that fill up when gas was $4/gallon).. as he was telling me his response the pump clicked full and I noticed my phone was moved to right next to the vent and it was soaked in gasoline(along with keys and wallet).. A miracle that the only casulty was the camera button itself(thankfully the enter on the dpad takes a picture still)

No insurance and the keyboard had a strong smell of gas when you would open it for like 3 months. There was no way I was making up some story of how the phone broke and it wasnt my fault... haha

havent searched on xda. When i installed the standard alltel wm6.1 through activesync the RUU i downloaded from the htc website installed perfectly. Is that RUU different then one say DCD or Neurom would have? I'm actually looking at trying this rom = http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=48667.

Re: how to get to bootloader mode?

You shouldn't need to put it into bootloader if you're flashing via USB and active sync. To flash via the SD you have to force it into bootloader, and that you can't do. Obviously. You're going to have to unlock your phone to load anything but an official rom. You may be able to do that via the USB also, and not have to force it into bootloader. Let me poke around and see what i find.

And that sucks about the gas soaked phone! Insurance is you're friend....
