I found this in December and have used this since a day or two after it was posted and really, really like the functionality of the kitchen. I have gotten it working most of the way for a VZW phone and am having problems getting the "data connection" working for a PC modem. Although, I have found the picture browser a bit slow at times, but it still is a great interface.

The other thing I can't seem to get working is the MMS to send pictures. I will need to search for settings for this to figure it out.

Maybe, the components were not added for this connection? I did add or change to the 10-Button application for Comm Manager and really had a tough time getting this working or finding the stand-alone app to install.

I also would like to know, is there a way to use this with the PPCKitchen interface to be able to start with the great work and customize for the VZW phone needs? I am just getting to the point where I'd like to be able to understand how to use the kitchens. I am assuming that the starting point would have these selections that have been used for this ROM and then they could be changed to accomodate a specific carriers needs?

Is there anything that would be good to look at for understandgin how to go about doing this? I am just beginning to look throught he "how to do this" on PPCKitchen which should help me understand the basics.

Thanks for any help or direction anyone may have. Just realized, that I may have been a little slooowww. Is the Manila 2D Kithcen a separate application that is similar to PPCKitchen? LOL, just hit me this was the case! Hadn't heard of this one before.

Well, after many hours of reading, I figured out where all the settings were for MMS and entered the VZW settings and it worked great.

I also installed the .NET 3.5 and it took care of the Comm Mngr connection problem.

So overall, I am very excited about the functionality of this ROM=D>=D>

Still can't get the You Tube to function, or the link to the Audio Manager or the Audio Gateway. Any ideas on these as to why they don't function?

they work for me but i have been working on an update to this and will release it soon. Waiting for a replacement from Alltel because mine caught fire yesterday. keep checking back. If anyone would like to beta test the new version pm me and i will send a link.

just use the kitchen version and uncheck what you do not want.

What did you put in there? Is it a non-M2D ROM?

I'm using the flashable rom on Alltel. It does work. It's a nice looking theme. My GPS is not locking on at all still though. In addition i'm having trouble with my dialer working as I don't think this ROM has the network connection always on ticked.

I'm going to try the kitchen and see if this fixes the issue.

How do I let a program run that is showing me the File "****" cannont be opened. Either it is not a signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found...

If you want a ROM that's fairly clean and you're a little adventurous try my ROM a few threads down. Of course you would have to build your own but it runs good.

Quick question from a noob. If I want, I can flash back to the standard Alltel ROM from HTC's site right? Just in case I run into troubles with this ROM.

I tried this ROM and love it. I'd like to try the kitchen to remove a few of the things I don't need, but It seems to be gone now. Is there an update in the works or something?

This is probably not the right place for this, but this is the first ROM I have tried to put on my phone. I keep getting Error [262]. I have read around, and I haven't really found an answer. Anyone have any link to point me in the right direction?

I have even tried with a freshly loaded PC, at work with a new PC, they didn't know though, and still same error. I did a hard reset on my phone and still the same thing.

I know this is a problem with my phone just from process of elimination, but any advice would be much appreciated.

6.5 w\ Manila? That may not be good with as much RAM as 6.5 beta uses. lol

It was the weirdest thing, turned out to actually be a bad USB cable, I knew I was doing everything correctly, anyway, I got it now. I just figured I would try another cable, just in case. Saving that cable to put with the only bad AC Cable for a desktop that I have ever encountered. Stranger things has happened.

I always figured USB cables would either work, or not work, no in between. Not noticeable bent or missing pins either.

The rom works for Alltel. GPS works as well. MMS is a big fail. Anyway we can get the kitchen back up so I can get MMS working on my phone? I love the touchflo interface... I just wish there were more ROMs out there like this.

MMS should be working. It worked for me just fine.

Hello to all Geeks here at PPCG, i remember that sometime ago calling someone a geek was kinda bad, but now it looks like being a geek is in! Good for all of you who are brainiaks! It is your time.

And now my question, I ran the rom to flash my htc 6800 from alltel. At first I had the same problem when unpacking the rar file. The proces goes as usual when flashing the phone, but when it gets to the status bar to find out the % done, it fails and does nothing. Any sugestions, help please, help. For a long time I have been waiting for someone to come out with update like this, and it is such a shame that I cannot make it work with my phone.

But hey, thanks a million for making a dumb dumb like me, feel like I know what I am talking 'bout. Keep up the good work!
