Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

I searched, and also, left a similar reply weeks ago in the Apache upgrade forum (I have an apache, my wife, a titan). We both utterly despise IE 6 in the 20931 build. How can we revert to the typical IE mobile? Logmein doesn't like IE 6 either, and that's essential to us.

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

I have more of an aesthetic question... has any else noticed that the icon for the audible alerts changing on its own? When I first flashed the ROM the icon for the audible alert was a small speaker with 3 lines when set to a ringer, when set to vibrate it looked like a tiny phone with two little lightening bolts in the bottom right, and when set to silent it looked like a lil speaker with an X next to it.

I didn't do anything to the phone (other than add contacts) or change the theme... I don't care that it happened, just thought it was amusing.

I am in the same boat - that IE6 was killing me. Try this simple regedit and IE6 become PIE again!
Code:
"hklm\security\internet explorer\MSHTML=0"
It was just what I have been looking for. Magic.

lol - 1 rom is insane. Why people can't get it in their heads that using the kitchen is so much better and about as simple is beyond me.

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

I'm using Sprint 6800 and already upgrade by Gamedic ROM. Thanks. But more program had the same function or I don't like.
So I would like use PPCkitchen to build own ROM. And have 2 questions:
1) when using PPCkitchen, which files or programe must be check for PPC6800 work (with all its application: GPS, wifi...) for best work and performance.
2) how can put some other install files (.cab or .exe) to this ROM?
I'm a newbie. Thanks.

You convert them to oem format. There are tools to assist in this (oemizer is one)
