I tried this and combination of different dll files, ones which are supposed to be the original ones extracted from the kitchen.

The easiest way to go back to stock is simply delete the dll file/s in the windows directory and reboot. The original one will magically reappear on soft reset and you will have your original icons back. Now for the extra BT icon in the task bar you will need to uninstall the opal dialer and all will be fine.

This is good to keep in mind. I ended up scrapping the latest no2chem kitchen build and cooked a simple ppcgeeks kitchen rom and it generally works better. No Manilla 2D, but it work better without. All I did after the build is install the Opal Dialer. I have the BT taskbar Icon and I am happy for now.

Pretty much the next step is to wait for VZW to have the Touch Pro. With all the memory and graphic support it will do everything properly. I wonder if Nov.24 is still the day. Haven't heard much since that engaget news.

Guys, isn't this a little redundant unless you kill off the bluetooth led blinking?

No.
It blinks every 5 seconds, and sometimes you don't want to stare at it counting to 5 just to make sure you didn't leave BT on again.

Personally, I mapped my Comm Manager button to a BT on/off toggle. Sometimes I don't know if I just turned it off or on, especially when in the car (trying to keep eyes on the road, not sure if I missed the blinking blue light when I looked away for a sec...).

But for me, I didn't like the opal dialer (felt like it was eating up my resources), and I wish there were a simpler way to make this work.

Well some of us use NueLED and kill the LED's like myself. I cannot stand flashing LED's especially when I am sleeping. =P

@ Dishe, I will post a fix for the bluetooth without the opal dialer and it should work. That way you can use your other low resource dialer and still have the bluetooth icon.

*******Update********

Below is the phcanOverbmp.dll and the registry key to import for it. Use resco or some registry import program and then use software reset like PSshutXP to soft reset the phone. DO NOT USE THE STYLUS FOR SOFT RESET. Then see if the icons apear. Let me know how it goes.
