Re: ANDROID on TITAN???
There's a guy who is porting it to the Vogue (Touch) which is close to the 6800 but still off enough that it doesn't quite work on our phones.

Re: ANDROID on TITAN???
Also, here's the thread:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=31930 It looks like some people have been able to do it. Guess I'm just an idiot because when I try launching it just loops through what looks like power management errors. |

Re: ANDROID on TITAN???
I've gotten it to run plenty of times, but it's unusable...it's really pointless to run it, unless you just want to see it pop up on your screen. The screen itself is SO mis-calibrated that it makes the phone unusable.

To those of you looking here, a post above shows that the link: http://magister.ipsys.net/?page_id=69&lang=en will get you the default.txt that you need for the Titan. Using that with the most current Android version from http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/and...wiki/WikiStart (1.6 as of today) or http://www.androidonhtc.com/kaiser/latest_builds will work (I found the ion version rather slow). I did this as a first time install. A straight swap of the default.txt file should work. zImage-23-10-09 seems to work MUCH better than zImage-24-10-09. Personally, I like the system-tmo-ota-drc92.sqsh version from http://www.androidonhtc.com/kaiser/latest_builds the best; however the Android Market doesn't appear to work in this version. I would appreciate if someone could help with that . However, I have been having trouble getting wifi and the camera to work in any version so far. Thanks everyone for all your hard work. End Transmission. thx to Timeshell from xdev http://it029000.massey.ac.nz/vogue/ |

Thanks, That version worked for my titan. All other post didn't work, I just got a bunch of scrolling errors till I tried your post. I'm hoping they do a rom that can be burned to the phone. This works but slow. Not data, but phone does work. Thanks again for the post. |
