Re: Mogul has no signal! Please help....
Just to be sure, you did try the following right? This is what fixed me up. If you did, sorry for this reply but in the past we had a slew of threads on phone not acquiring a signal, no one was able to help, and I found this thread over on XDA:
"enter phone app, dial ##778 (or whatever gets you to your EPST settings) select "EDIT" and enter the 000000 unlock code (000000 for Verizon, could be different for you) select "VIEW INFO" and select "M.IP Settings" Edit MIP_MODE and change to something else, then go back and change it again back to "Mobile IP Preferred". Do the same for MIP reg retried, retry timeout and pre-registration timeout. Change all the values, ok, then change them again back to the original setting. Settings are: Mob IP Pref, 2 retries, 1750ms retry timeout, 0 pre-reg timeout. When you're all done save and exit - soft-resets your phone." For some reason the phone didn't save these preferences no matter what you did and by altering them and resaving them it worked... Again, if you tried this and it didn't work, sorry, but if you didn't try exactly as above, I'd give it a go... |

Re: Mogul has no signal! Please help....
Thank you so much for your consistent help. I guess that's why this forum attracts so many people. People like you who want to help... thanks
I'm glad to say I FOUND the root of the problem! It has to do with the ESN that I copied. I converted a MEID to ESN and wrote that to the mogul and that caused the problem. (Mogul doesn't have MEID, it only has ESN) When I went and re-wrote the ESN to regular 11 digit ESN, it fixed the issue. Thanks anyways! |
