ROM Upgrade freezing at 11%

Let me start by saying I am way over my head here!

I bought a 6800 on ebay that was suppose to be new. Says Alltel on the box and Alltel when the phone boots. Long story short the security code was not a Alltel code but a Sprint code. And the internet settings were set for sprint as well.

We got the phone to work but it wouldn't connect to the internet. So, I called HTC direct and they had me check the current ROM and they said it was Alltel. Weird. So, they told me to download and install the most recent ROM update. They had me hold the power and camera button down while hitting reset to put it in the right mode, which made the screen red, green, blue and white. The install gets to 11% and I get a "ERROR [290] : INVALID COMMAND" error every single time.

I have tried it on both my Vista and XP computer and at 11% it freezes. Now my phone won't work at all, just the multi-colored screen.

Like I said I know nothing about this phone and I'm in over my head so i came here looking for suggestions.

Provide the SPL version from the bootloader screen, and if it'll boot at all, the r= line in red at the bottom of first splash. What rom were you flashing?

Re: ROM Upgrade freezing at 11%

You should use the Titan unlocker... Then your gonna have to flash the rom directly from your storage card... You need to use nueSPLTitan to flash the new bootloader and extract the ruu_signed.nbh file from the rom that your flashing and load it directly from your storage card... It only took my phone about 5 minutes to update using the SD card... I've attached both files... This should fix your problem
Attached Files
File Type: zip nueSPLTitan-100-2.47-pack.zip (298.9 KB, 50 views) Click for barcode!

Re: ROM Upgrade freezing at 11%

Heres the unlocker... I had to attach it to this message cuz it wouldnt let me on the last one... Run this first with your phone attached to the USB cable on your computer... It will reset your phone and reinstall your original software... Then use nueSPL and format your storage card... Extract your ruu_signed.nbh file from your ROM update and rename it TITAIMG.nbh and load it on your storage card... Hold the camera, and power buttons and press the reset button, and the image will be selected to load with nueSPL... Then wait and your finished!

Thanks customizer! I loaded up the newest Alltel ROM and it worked.

Only problem is the internet values stayed the same so I doubt it will connect. I was hoping the new ROM would put in "default values" from Alltel.
