Thanks, gc. This is great. Finally, GPS actually working. Great job. That had to be a lot of work.

gc... what is the extra step with the "gc verizon agps cab"? i did your fix before you added that step and gps works flawlessly but will that improve it a bit (accuracy or initial lock speed)?

It's meant to provision your registry for aGPS. If you've already applied the fix and have manually entered the reg values then you should be good. I added it for people applying it for the first time, that way there's no manual registry edits needed.

This works great. I am using the official VZ 6.1 release with the MR1 and Google Maps works great took about 30 seconds for about 8-9 satellite locks.

I'm going thru the steps right now according to gc's wiki @ xda, and was wondering...
If the two COM ports usng USB that are selected in the Add New Port box in QPST (step 6, Fig 2) don't include COM4, does that have anything to do with which GPS program port is selected on the phone. I'm seeing COM ports 9 & 10 in QPST right now...

The com ports for QPST are what is used to get into the phone. These are UNRELATED to GPS as the GPS com4 is IN the phone, and the com ports you are choosing for QPST are on your pc.
