This customization thing is the biggest source of confusion for me... If I use someone's ROM...say DCD 3.2.5 like you are using, will my phone banner on the home screen still say Verizon Wireless or will it say Sprint, or something else?

so why do you support 2.4 over 2.47?

the phone will run better with 2.47 and it is easier to flash via sd.

I prefer DCDs latest rom but I can't wait to try nuerom 3.0 when it comes out.

don't worry about it. nothing is actually installing during this phase (on dcd at least). even if it did it would not affect anything carrier specific.
i can't speak for anyone elses roms except no2chem. his work for all carriers as well.

Just download his kitchen and other requirements (.net 2.0 or higher). Put any OEM's into the OEM folder within the kitchen. Then click on the buildnb file. BuildOS will start up after 30 seconds to a minute. Select all the components you want (leave out UC for now) Click the play button wait for it to finish (the BuildOS window goes inactive during the process and then we reactivate once it's done) Then close it and buildnb will continue. Eventually the RUU will start up and just follow the instructions.

So once all of this is done, then do I have to run the Verizon carrier .cab file I have seen? And will this cause me to have to call Verizon to get a new Authentication key?

Yes exactly. Tell them you performed a hard reset and it will not authorize a phone call.

No horror for me. You will need to get GC's Arcsoft so you can have picture messages though.

I'd recommend 3.2.5 and radio 3.39.10. The GPS is awesome with that radio for me and a few others. It's worth the intial try, worst case you can upgrade it to 3.42.50 within 10 minutes.

Not too sure to be honest. I don't watch video's on mine.
