To do a *228 (called OTA) on VZW or altell the spc/msl has to be 000000. Since this was a sprint to altell convert the spc was not all 0's and if you didn't reset it thats why it wont OTA. To reset it you will need to use qpst or cdma workshop.

Also try installing another dialer. The *228 does not work for me on some dialers. Carlos dialers work great for me and they install with a cab. I use his black dialer.

Also on the roaming indicator, another user dialed *228 option 3 to fix that problem for himself.

Where can I get the CDMA Workshop or qpst at? Is it posted here?

I found that CDMA Workshop but couldn't get it to see my phone. I tried installing some drivers that I found but still nothing.. Any ideas? I think this will be the last step in converting this over to Alltel..

Did you try installing one of the dialers above and dialing *228 option 3?
