I've read the replies for this thread but it's conflicting. Does anyone have this on their Pro or Diamond and like the results?

Well your post made me curious so what I did was I went and installed the Kaiser cab on a Mogul wich already had Omnia D3D drivers. After reboot just like you though the ROM wont load but I did not recook, just a hard reset and then it would not boot again just plays animation (very smooth though) and seems less jaggies as Neo flys onto my screen.

After second hard reset The Mogul now boots again and the weird thing is that when I ran my omnia test a lot less clipping and that anoying partial bottom bar that shows only the keyboard is now gone less jaggies.

I dont think its a placebo maybe the .dll remained registered during hard reset? It seems that we need to start a project to port this to a Titan ROM could benifit us a lot more than using the Omnia drivers or maybe I am delusional someone please port this atid3d driver to Titan Please http://www.htcclassaction.org/driver...ate_20080819_1

I thought more than just overwriting a DLL was require to "install" these drivers.

When these phones hard-reset, do they do much actual installing, or is it just extracting and copying files basically? I know when you install Windows on a PC, it actually customizes itself to your hardware, to a certain extent, but I am not sure about WM. Perhaps it could not properly overwrite that DLL you loaded, and it went ahead and somehow used it. Doesn't make total sense to me. Are you completely sure it's not a placebo affect? Maybe that animation runs faster on every hard-reset, and slows down again when stuff gets loaded?

Interesting though.

Agreed I think you are more than likely correct I was however referring to the animation before the hard reset seems improved afterwards as well however, weird I would like to see someone come out with a properly written driver of this. The htcclassaction website states there needs to be a new xip for it to work though.

Yeah, I don't think this should have affected your boot logo performance. It's just a GIF, I think, and anything made since 1980 should be able to play it smoothly.

e I cannot agree because of the fact that I have had several Moguls and none of them play startup .gif properly until adding in the Omnia driver as stated earlier in this post.

On a stock ROM the animation plays. The issue must be elsewhere.
