You have to remove the battery the first time you do a Custom ROM. After you flash the first "successful" ROM you don't have to do it anymore. It is posted on almost every thread about how to update to a custom ROM.

Hi, I got an update for you guys, loaded the no2chem newest rom, with radio 3.42.50 and everything is fine.
I built my own rom with the kitchen.
I love it.
Mabee dcd is just not for me or mabee upgrading the radio helped.
Who knows, but if it an't broke then don't fix it.
