I'm not sure why those of you on stock roms are not able to get this change activated.

For those on stock rom.
Run the .cab and let the phone sit for a min. then turn the phone off for 2 min.
then turn the phone on and soft reset.

Using dcd 3.2.5 and this does not work at all.

I should also point out that there is an error in your .reg file. Your value "IconTotalFontSize" is misspelled as "IconTitalFontSize". It's correct in the cab.

It appears that I was wrong to include Settings.

I will continue to work on this and find out why others are not able to get this modification to work.

Ok, I've found something else related to your error in "IconTotalFontSize". It still doesn't work for me, but apparently the correct value is supposed to be "IconTitleFontSize". I'm assuming somewhere along the lines, either you or someone else misspelled it as "IconTitalFontSize", and then somehow it became "IconTotalFontSize". I've attached a repacked cab with the correct keys (even though it still doesn't work on my Titan).

Take a look at the xda post again and you'll see what I'm talking about.

If the vertical scrollbar is too wide, it will override any icon settings. If you widen it out to around 18, you get only two columns of icons. I wonder if that's where the problem lies.

The vertical scrollbar doesn't make a difference, but I think I've figured out the problem anyway.

It works fine by using Start->Programs. It does NOT work by using HTC Home's launcher 'Programs' link.

For all the people who weren't able to get it to work, make SURE you update your value to "IconTitleFontSize" = 6, then soft reset. I made a cab a few posts up.

Then go to Programs via the Start Menu and not from any launcher.

I am still investigating why Stock isn't taking the change.
Those that have stock try reducing the Horizontal spacing to 40 and let me know what happens.

Works for me just fine, then again, I cook my own rom from DcD's Kitchen. I used the cab on the first post. The only problem I did have was I made an oem and it does not work correctly when I bake a rom image. I have to manually install the cab and software soft reset and presto. So basically it goes down like this. I have tried this on two different Wmo 6.1 devices and it works flawlessly. Install cab. Use a software soft reset like PSshutXP and then waa laa, when it boots your programs now show four icons wide.

Now can we get the control panel to go four icons wide???
